Forget Flowers, Aldi's New Chocolate-Chip Brioche Heart Is the Only Valentine We Need

Dear carbs, how do we love thee? Let us count the ways…by discussing your sweetest iteration to date: a chocolate-chip brioche heart.

Love is in the air for Aldi, which is gearing up to release a heart-shaped (!) fluffy pastry filled with chocolate chips. Available on January 30 for $5, it’s not karats or a dozen roses, but it’s everything we’ve ever wanted (yes, that’s our stomach talking, BTW).

According to the Aldi website, the pull-apart bread is imported from France. Ideal for breakfast in bed (with ton amour, of course) or served for dessert as the sweet encore to your romantic homemade dinner, this isn’t a treat you’ll want to pass up.

Did we mention it’s heart-shaped? Cupid has stamped his seal of approval all over this carb-filled confection. You can check to see if your local Aldi store has it here.

Other Valentine’s Day Aldi finds include heart-shaped cheeses, chocolate red wine, Belgian-cocoa-dusted truffles, heart-shaped pasta and more.

So, Valentine, if you’re reading this: Stop loafing around and pick up our new favorite pastry (sorry, we’re on a roll).
