Surprise! Adele Confirms She’s Engaged to Rich Paul

It's official: Adele and her longtime boyfriend, Rich Paul are engaged.

The powerhouse vocalist, 36, recently confirmed the big news while performing at a concert in Munich, Germany, and one lucky fan captured the moment on video. As seen in the Twitter post below, the "Hello" singer appears to notice a fan's sign that reads "Will you marry me?" In response, she says, "I can't marry you because I'm already getting married." (!!!)

After this, Adele holds up her left hand to signal an engagement while the crowd starts to applaud.

While the singer wasn't wearing a ring at the time, it's worth noting the British artist was already spotted wearing a massive pear-shaped diamond on *that* finger since 2022, when she attended the BRIT Awards. Naturally, the dazzling accessory led fans and spectators (me included) to believe the Grammy winner quietly got engaged to her 42-year-old beau, Paul.

By then, the happy couple had only been dating for about a year. And in 2021, just a few months after their first joint appearance at a basketball game, Adele told Vogue, “Rich just incredibly arrived...I don’t feel anxious or nervous or frazzled. It’s quite the opposite. It’s wild. I’m a 33-year-old divorced mother of a son, who’s actually in charge. The last thing I need is someone who doesn’t know where they’re at, or what they want. I know what I want. And I really know what I don’t want.”

Later that year, Paul and Adele—who shares an 11-year-old son with her ex-husband, Simon Konecki—went Instagram official, when the singer shared a black-and-white pic of them posing together for an outing.
