The 7 Best Fast-Food Apps That Reward You with Free Food

Get you an app-y meal

Maybe you had a bad day at work. Or maybe it’s just a Monday. Or, fine, you just feel like devouring some fries. (Hey, we definitely don’t judge.) Whatever the reason, if you’re going to eat out, you might as well make it count. Here are the seven best fast food apps that reward you with free food and drinks. Bring on the gold stars.

1. Starbucks

The updated rewards program gives users a free food or drink item for every 125 stars earned ($1 equals 2 stars) and a free birthday item on that day. Other bonus features include ordering ahead, free in-store refills and pay-by-phone.

2. Chili's

Sign up and get a free menu item with your automatic 60-point enrollment bonus. A free dessert on your birthday (we’re lookin’ at you, molten chocolate cake) and the ability to add your name to the waiting list, earn points with purchases and place to-go orders are also available on the My Chili’s app.

3. Dairy Queen

Are Blizzards more your style? Receive a free one when you download the myDQ app. Every five visits, you’ll also receive a free menu item.

Panera Bread

A fresh-baked pastry is yours just for downloading the bakery’s app and signing up for the MyPanera rewards program. Earn goodies with each visit (like fresh-baked croissants, pastries and money off your next meal), order for pickup and check calorie counts, all within the app.

Sonic

Get at us, cherry limeades! Score a complimentary medium slushy just for signing up through the app, and earn food rewards like free tater tots and ice cream cones.

Dunkin' Donuts

To enroll in DD Perks, you have to have a gift card (or purchase one), but then you’ll receive a free medium beverage (plus another free one on your birthday). Additionally, app users are given a complimentary drink for every $40 spent (200 points) and are privy to exclusive offers.
