Baby Sussex Is Coming! Here’s What the Royal Nursery Will (Probably) Look Like

Meep! Baby Sussex is almost here, and rumors are swirling around everything from the regal munchkin's gender to zodiac sign. But the question we decor-lovers have top of mind? How home decor-enthusiast Meghan Markle will decorate the nursery, of course.

To tide us over, interior design service Modsy whipped up four imagined concepts of what Baby Sussex's nursery will look like—based on the signature styles of Meghan, the queen, Prince Harry and even fellow-mum, K. Middy. So come along: Have a royal swoon (and dawww) with us.

Meghan Markle

For Mama Markle's concept, Modsy drew inspiration from the duchess's California upbringing and Insta-documented love of neutrals. Key design elements include a rounded, wooden dresser with an organic feel, a cushy, subtly patterned area rug and non-toxic paint in a neutral hue. The overall vibe? Breezy, serene and effortless.

Prince Harry

It wouldn't be a Prince Harry-designed nursery without a nod to his polo days and love for adventure, right? We adore this masculine, classically British concept. Safari-inspired art, a striped teepee and life-size stuffed animals will "create a space where the baby is inspired to travel and explore." Like father, like squish.

Queen Elizabeth Ii

For a mood board befitting of the Queen of England, Modsy imagined a nursery in classic English cottage style with elegant details throughout. Think English roll-arm seating, antique-inspired storage pieces and a stuffed (or, better yet, pet!) Corgi—naturally.

Kate Middleton

Kate's personal style is marked by timeless pieces with a contemporary edge—and impeccable tailoring. So her nursery would likely follow these same principles. Practical-yet-chic storage pieces, pops of warm wicker and a clean, white color story make this scheme our absolute favorite, if we had to pick.
