How I Chose the Best Fall Decor at Anthropologie

To make this epic list, I reached out to the experts at Pinterest for some guidance on what decor trends are heating up as temps drop. According to their 2024 fall trends report, this year is all about making spaces cozy-comfy via serene colors, floral aesthetics and Japanese-inspired design.

Next, I chatted with Katherine Finder, AnthroLiving’s Chief Merchandising Officer. She gave me the scoop on what inspired AnthroLiving’s fall line—plus, the items she’s most excited about.

Ready? Let’s get into it.

Taper candles have a magical way of elevating any dinner table—literally. Searches for “floral room aesthetics” jumped 370 percent this year, according to Pinterest’s fall trends report, and this set capitalizes on the trend without feeling generic or basic. The hand-painted details are also delicate, beautiful and feel one-of-a-kind.

2. Velvet Trova Pillow

Anthropologie

“For decor, there is a strong material-mixing trend— ceramics, glass, wood, stone, marble—creating a lot of texture and visual interest,” says Finder. This best-selling velvet pillow combines texture with comfort. It comes in 12 rich colors, so you’ll have plenty of opportunities to experiment with hues and color palettes around the house.

A seasonal wreath is the accessory every home deserves. Think of it like giving your front door or mantel a low-effort, high-impact upgrade. This six-pound masterpiece is made of twigs, oak leaves, flax, willow eucalyptus, pampas grass, bunny tail, and broom corn (I swear I did not make any of these words up to sound more rustic). It’s a gorgeous textural feast for the eyes that screams “harvest season.”

4. Found Notes Candles

Anthropologie

According to Finder, the way your home smells is an essential part of the changing of the seasons. “Even before the temperature changes you can bring fall to your home with fall-forward scents [like] pumpkin, apples and spice,” she says.

These candles are an Anthropologie-exclusive new launch. You’ll appreciate that the scents—like Fruity Vanilla & Dark Plum or Coriander & Fig Leaf — feel elegant and intriguing while pushing the boundary of the cliche fall candle. Good luck just buying one.

5. Pumpkin Baking Dish

Anthropologie

If you like to bake or cook, you may have been missing your oven these last few months. But now that fall is here, it’s time to reacquaint yourself and get to baking, roasting, simmering and the like. This glazed stoneware dish makes a fabulous base for any meal you want to put on display. It’s dishwasher safe, microwave safe and oven safe up to 480 degrees, making it an all-purpose win for your kitchen. And at under $40, it’s a fantastic find for every budget.

6. Rattan Bats

Anthropologie

You can’t decorate for fall without prepping for Halloween. Remember our talk about mixing textures and materials? These bats are made from rattan palms, a wood typically used to make woven furniture and baskets. The crafty take on spooky bats is a great way to play with different materials around your home. Plus, they’re so stinking cute.

7. Iluka Quilt

Anthropologie

Channeling a quaint cottage vibe is the ultimate way to create a cozy atmosphere at home. This quilt will help you achieve just that—without skewing shabby or dowdy. It comes in five different colors and features a vibrant floral pattern that can make any bed feel ultra snuggly. (Psst: You can also order shams, pillows and throws to create a matching set.)

This Anthropolgie collab combines all of fall’s hottest decor trends: florals, relaxing hues and quirky natural detailing. Leaning into cottage-y elements, these pieces have an Alice-in-Wonderland-for-grown-ups aesthetic that’s hard not to love. If you’re traditional mid-century modern type, this is a great opportunity to go down the rabbit hole of bold patterns and vibrant color palettes.

There just had to be another candle on this list, because fall. I’m obsessing over this adorable mini cauldron option that smells like apples, cedar smoke, and clove. Cue up Hocus Pocus, pour some cider or mulled wine, and light this baby up.

10. Harvest Glass Bud Vase

Anthropologie

Plant parents, meet your new favorite vase. Not only is the berry design absolutely adorable and very Tokyo-chic, the rich red hue creates gorgeous ambiance in any room (especially when hit with those glorious early-morning or late-afternoon rays of sunshine). While this item is a big hit with buyers, it’s worth noting the shape and design make it more fragile than your average vase. Handle with care, and keep away from pets and kids.

If I were a candy bowl, this is the version I’d want to be when I grow up. It’s a show-stopper with magical details and two hand molds that feel somehow both spooky and classy. Created by Parisian designer Florence Balducci, it’s only available at Anthropologie, so scoop it up before it’s too late.

12. Wheat Field Plates

Anthropologie

According to Pinterest’s fall trends report, this year it’s all about soothing colors, like deep greens, dusty blues and moody purples. These etched glass plates bring beautiful works of art to your table (or your walls). They’re handmade and delicate, so unfortunately, they aren’t dishwasher-, microwave- or oven-safe, but I think it’s a fair trade for the lovely craftsmanship.

13. Dog Table Lamp

Anthropologie

It’s quirky and a little odd, and it’s an AnthroLiving best-seller. And tbh—how could it not be? lamp is a guaranteed conversation starter when hosting parties—but personally, I think it’ll bring a smile to your face every day of the week. Oh, and if you’re not a corgi person, you can choose from five other dog breeds, all with that same gleaming gold finish.

14. Icon Juice Glasses

Anthropologie

Cozy fall needs cozy glassware. These glass cups are simple with just the right amount of cute detailing. It’s also going to be your kitchen workhorse—use it for juice, water, wine, cocktails and everything in between. Pick from 17 different icons to create your ideal fall aesthetic. With almost 750 five-star reviews, these are an absolute slam dunk.
