13 of the Best Restaurants for Mother’s Day Brunch in Los Angeles
1. Saltie Girl
- Why We Recommend It: SweetBoy Bakery’s SweetBuns, the massive Tin List, free parking
Nestled on a sunny corner along the Sunset Strip (in the former Wahlburgers spot), grab a seat on their wraparound outdoor patio or indoors, which has an upscale, coastal New England vibe. Treat mom to a large selection of caviar (she deserves it) or one of the many (many) options from their Tin List—including items like sardines, salmon, mackerel and clams—sourced from all over the world. Their brunch options are decadent and include a waffle topped with fried lobster and the Nestled Egg—a poached egg, wrapped in smoked salmon and housed inside a flakey everything-crusted brioche. To top this all off, their pastry chef Ben, the founder of SweetBoy bakery, and son of owner Kathy Sidell, is making pistachio larger-than-your-face-sized SweetBuns for Mother’s Day in honor of his mother’s favorite flavor.
8615 W. Sunset Blvd, Los Angeles, CA 90069
2. Milo & Olive
- Why We Recommend It: great outdoor patio, homemade pastries, market-driven specials
Our moms always encouraged us to find the silver lining and when it comes to this restaurant, it’s the expansive outdoor patio which was added on during the pandemic. This once tiny spot can now fit your entire family this Mother’s Day. While newer restaurants always make a splash, this market-driven spot has remained consistently stellar for over 11 years. Partake in one of their many seasonal, freshly baked pastries to start off your meal then make space for their Breakfast Pizza which features pork belly sausage, farm eggs and roasted potatoes. Their brunch menu incorporates seasonal produce so you know the Warm 3-Grain Bowl will also hit the spot.
2723 Wilshire Blvd., Santa Monica, CA, 90403
3. Pasjoli
- Why We Recommend It: fit for foodies, great location, filling Mother’s Day feast
This upscale (but not pretentious) Santa Monica French bistro is offering a family-style Mother’s Day brunch at 10:30 a.m. that will keep you and your brood going all day. Foodie mamas will be in favor of this luxurious, eight-course family style menu which features items like deviled eggs with crispy duck skin and a crab & strawberry tartine. The main courses are comforting yet luxurious: butter poached salmon with roasted market greens and a bearnaise, and hanger steak with PJ steak sauce. The menu costs $145 per person but the upside is, this meal could be breakfast, lunch and dinner!
2732 Main Street Santa Monica, CA 90405
- Why We Recommend It: gorgeous ocean views, surprise gifts for mom, solid kid’s menu
The Stand House offers the best views of Manhattan Beach from the three-story high building. It will make mom truly appreciate living in this city (or tempted to move if she’s from out of town). This Mother’s Day they are offering a special three-course menu for $95 per person with options like a lobster avocado roll and mushroom avocado toast that features five different mushroom options. Moms will also receive a special take home gift. There is also a kid’s brunch menu, with three courses as well for $45 per person.
117 Manhattan Beach Blvd, Manhattan Beach, CA 90266
5. Beachside Restaurant and Bar
- Why We Recommend It: vacation vibes, Lemon Lavender Honey Pancakes, kid’s menu options
Marina Del Rey isn’t necessarily known for its dining options but tucked away inside the Hilton’s Jamaica Bay Inn is a beachside restaurant that offers tasty brunch dishes and total vacation vibes. The restaurant overlooks Marina Beach and the marina. Request to sit on the open-air patio and partake in their prix-fixe $65 Mother’s Day brunch menu which includes mixed berry scones and a Bellini to start, a choice of entrees (our favorite is the Lemon Lavender Honey Pancakes which use cornmeal for a more flavorful flapjack) and a lemon coconut cake for dessert. For kids under 12 the restaurant offers a kid’s menu with family favorites, all priced around $12 to $15. An a la carte menu is also available.
4175 Admiralty Way, Marina Del Rey, CA 90292
6. Interstellar
- Why We Recommend It: unique menu options, shakshuka, delicious bread
Your mom is the best, so why not take her to a brunch that is just as special? This restaurant fuses American and Korean cuisine and incorporates both classic brunch items like their phenomenal Shakshuka along with more innovative offerings like their Breakfast Truffle Linguine (just trust us). In addition to their regular menu, they will be offering a strawberry banana waffle paired with a Soju strawberry mint cocktail for Mother’s Day. The waffle is made with fresh berries from Harry’s Berries, and topped with homemade whipped cream, a berry compote and maple honey butter. They even offer a pup menu, because hey, dog moms deserve to be celebrated too!
109 Broadway, Santa Monica, CA 90401
7. Homestate
- Why We Recommend It: authentic Tex-Mex, queso dip, flowers for the mommas
If Mom likes breakfast tacos, then this is the spot. The late famed restaurant critic, Jonathan Gold, was quoted saying, “the breakfast tacos may be everything you remember and everything you still crave.” It’s a causal experience—you order at the counter and the food is brought out to your table. Lines were once super long at the original location in Highland Park but luckily, they have expanded to locations all over the city: Playa Vista, Hollywood, Pasadena and Sherman Oaks. Our favorite breakfast taco is the Pecos with shredded brisket, and the Migas (eggs scrambled with crispy corn chips, onions, cheese and avocado) is also a good choice. They will be continuing their Mother’s Day tradition by giving flowers to all moms who dine-in that day!

8. Terra
- Why We Recommend It: rooftop setting, Eataly market, inventive brunch drinks
If you’re in need of a last-minute Mother’s Day gift (or prefer to buy your own), brunch at Terra, located on the rooftop of Eataly at the Century City Mall, is the perfect call to make. Their expansive rooftop features tons of greenery and string lighting which will make you forget you’re technically dining at the mall. It’s a classy establishment with brunch dishes like the Frittata Con Zucchine e Funghi made with farm eggs, zucchini, oyster mushrooms and 18-month Parmigiano Reggiano. They also have a ton of delicious brunch drinks ranging from spicy to sweet.

9. Castaway
- Why We Recommend It: breathtaking views, bottomless mimosas, kid’s menu
This classic valley spot offers panoramic views from the top sans the need to take a hike. Instead, today is all about indulging, so moms can enjoy one of their many mimosas—beyond OJ, they are offering Cucumber Mint and Pineapple Jalapeno. They are also doing a four-course Mother’s Day menu for $92 per person featuring items like fried chicken and waffles and lobster Benedict. Those mimosas we mentioned are bottomless and $30 per person, and children can eat for $35 per person.
1250 E. Harvard Rd., Burbank, CA 91501
- Why We Recommend It: great rooftop, flavor-forward entrees, fresh seafood
We don’t go to Hollywood unless we have a good reason, and a visit to Grandmaster Recorders for Mother’s Day brunch makes the list. Prepare for a feast—this trendy spot which highlights LA’s music history (the location used to be an old recording studio) is offering a $100 prix-fixe menu that includes bottomless mimosas, a family-style meal inclusive of a seafood platter for the table to share (with elevated options like Oysters with Limoncello Sorbetto and Scallop Crudo with Pistachio and Jalapeno), an antipasto platter, a choice of entrees, along with dessert for all.
1518 N Cahuenga Blvd, Los Angeles, CA 90028
- Why We Recommend It: Hollywood patio, fresh baked pastries, card making for kids
It’s in their name, but Superba does both food and bread really well. Their original location in Venice and their Hollywood spot will both have a special Mother’s Day card station set up for kids to make so that Mom can actually enjoy brunch sans child in her lap. You can’t go wrong with any of their brunch items that feature their freshly baked bread like the Croque Madame on brioche bread or delight in their Croissant French Toast. Let the kiddos “buy” you one of the heart-shaped mom cookies for dessert that all locations will be selling from Thursday, May 11 through Mother’s Day. We’re partial to the Hollywood location which feels like you’ve stumbled upon a secret garden amongst the hustle and bustle of the Hollywood streets.

12. The Front Yard
- Why We Recommend It: large outdoor space, waffle making station, special Mother’s Day menu
This classic valley spot has one of our favorite outdoor patios. The inviting space is large enough to fit your entire family and there’s something for everyone on the menu. Their Mother’s Day brunch menu (which skews a bit more towards lunch fare) includes starters like Avocado Gazpacho and Strawberry and Tomato salad. The sides are the real stars and have options including a lobster quiche, chilaquiles and capicola ham egg Benedict. Mains include a pork, prime rib, or Chilean sea bass option, and of course, what would Mother’s Day brunch be without dessert? Kids and moms alike will love the Belgian waffle station. The menu is $75 per person for adults and $35 for children 12 and under.

13. Connie & Ted’s
- Why We Recommend It: casual but classy vibe, outdoor patio, seafood-centric brunch
You know you’ll get a delicious meal every time you head to this West Hollywood chef-driven (helmed by chef Michael Cimarusti) seafood spot. Yes, their lobster rolls and burger are to die for, but if mom is looking for brunch, they have that as well! She’ll love their Crab & Lobster Omelet or for the more adventurous palette, their Bucatini Carbonara which features swordfish “bacon.” For Mother’s Day they are also offering some specialty cocktails at reduced prices including their Mama Margarita, and carafes of mimosas, sangria and Champagne.
