Being vegan and gluten-free is not for the weak. Because on top of cutting out meat and animal products, you've also let go of dairy and eggs, so those Levain Bakery cookies that TikTok swears you need to try weren't an option for you. Well, good news: On March 6, New York City's legendary bake shop launched its first-ever vegan and gluten-free cookies in a flavor almost anyone will love.

Yes, we're talking about chocolate chip walnut, folks. It's one of Levain's classic flavors, only this variation is made with plant-based butter derived from cashews. (However, it's worth noting the vegan, gluten-free cookies are baked fresh alongside its regular sweets, so Levain Bakery says it can't ensure the new vegan cookies won't contain traces of gluten or other allergens.)

Cookie lovers are lining up for them, regardless, especially since the chunky cookies are roughly the size of a softball, with an irresistibly gooey interior (though the brand says the gluten-free version is a bit crumblier, FYI). Oh, and they ship nationwide in two days and can be stored in an airtight container for at least a week without going bad.

You can also freeze them to make them last longer. Then, when you're ready to enjoy them, just heat them in a 350-degree Fahrenheit oven for five to ten minutes and chomp into their glorious gooey goodness.

We don't know about you, but this is exactly the pick-me-up we need to get us through the week, so we're ordering the 12-pack right now.
