What do you do when life hands you pounds and pounds of sweet summer fruit? Bake pie, of course—or just head to one of these East End shops and farm stands where talented bakers are turning out some of the most gorgeous pies we’ve ever seen.
Tastes Like Summer: The Best Seasonal Pies in the Hamptons
Fairview Farm At Mecox
This Bridgehampton farm is dangerous: Not only will you get addicted to the apple, apple-blueberry and apple-raspberry pies they sell at their summer farm stand but the staff will gladly ship them frozen for you to bake at home so you can enjoy them long after your vacation is over.

Carissa's The Bakery
“Magical” is the only way to describe these unconventional pies that are almost too pretty to eat. (Almost.) Baker Carissa Waechter mills local wheat for her dough, resulting in a nuttier crust, and while the flavors change seasonally, we’re currently crushing on the fresh rhubarb topped with maple meringue and hand-painted with organic edible watercolors.

The Blue Duck Bakery Cafe
Warning: The Blue Duck’s pies are the kind you dream about long after you’ve had the last bite. Each of its pies—we’re partial to the cherry and the blueberry—comes loaded with fruit squeezed into a flaky crust. Be sure to order a cup of the excellent coffee for the perfect pairing.

Babinski's Farm Stand
If you’re on Team Traditional Crust or Bust, skip this one, but for the rest of us, Babinski’s Farm Stand’s berry pie crumbles are everything you’ve ever wanted. Depending on when you stop by, you’ll find homemade pies made from blueberries, strawberries and whatever other berries are in season with a buttery streusel topping. You can even order by the slice (because hey, commitment is hard).

Round Swamp Farm
Between the fresh produce, jams, jellies and baked goods, it’s a challenge not to buy everything you spy at Round Swamp Farm. But the homemade pies are a must. One bite of the key lime or coconut cream will instantly put you in a summertime mood.
