Starling, Christy Dawn, Frank & Eileen. These are just a few of the women-led brands Betsy Sadler (née Simon) has worked with. As the founder of Marshell, a strategic consulting company helping to guide and uplift businesses that positively impact humans and the environment, Sadler’s had a hand in creating marketing gold for some of our favorite companies.
After working at a talent agency and music management group, then producing national campaigns for Johnson & Johnson, PepsiCo and the like, Sadler transitioned to consulting. She led the Obamacare branding task force for the Entertainment Advisory Council to the White House, before launching her own company with a focus on helping other brands that “truly value community, transparency, and sustainability.”
Most recently, Sadler cofounded MARCHÉ, a collective dedicated to supporting women-owned businesses through experiential efforts, alongside Sarah Ewick. The annual MARCHÉ Holiday Marketplace gathered over 50+ women-owned and women-led brands in Oakland, California, and kicked off their ongoing partnership with and made a donation to nonpartisan charity Chamber of Mothers. Coming soon: the MARCHÉ mini summit.
“Collaboration isn't just a guiding principle; it's the key to success in business and life for women,” Sadler told us. “By sharing experiences, knowledge, opportunities, and relationships, we nurture a supportive community that uplifts each woman and her ventures.”
