Zendaya Channels Cartoon Supervillain on Red Carpet in Stunning Versace Gown

It's been a minute since Zendaya walked a red carpet and now we remember exactly why we've been missing her so much. The 26-year-old actress just attended the NAACP Image Awards, where she was nominated for Outstanding Actress in a Drama Series (for Euphoria) and Entertainer of the Year. And she arrived in a stunning black-and-green dress from Versace.

For the event, Zendaya showed up in a strapless gown from the label, which featured a deep V down the bodice and a large slit up the center of the skirt. The geometric design, which featured a round train and jagged folds down the bottom, was brought to life with pops of lime green.

The Dune star was styled by Luxury Law, her frequent collaborator, and he paired the two-toned gown with shimmering silver jewelry from Bulgari. Hairstylist Tai Simon gave Zendaya her sophisticated bob, while makeup artist Raoúl Alejandre did her beauty. The pics which Zendaya shared to her Instagram were snapped by Alexandra Alva.

Fellow celebs couldn't get over the immaculate look, like SZA, who commented, “STUNNINGGGGGGGG MY GOODNESS.” Meanwhile, Donatella Versace wrote, “You look SO beautiful.” Of course, Zendaya's boyfriend, Tom Holland, wasn't going to stay quiet, and he left a bunch of heart-eyed emojis in the comments too.

After Zendaya had everyone in awe, she turned to Instagram to joke that her outfit was inspired by a cartoon character—Shego, one of the main antagonists from the hit Disney Channel original series Kim Possible.

The Emmy Award winner posted an animated slide and wrote: “Always a reference.” Then, she humorously posted a picture of Shego before sharing pics of herself in the green-and-black Versace gown (and we gotta say, we do see some similarities in the designs).
