Best Shearling Jacket

1. Zara Double-Faced Jacket

Zara

As soon as I spotted this aviator-inspired jacket with its shearling fleece interior and larger-than-life lapels and collar, I knew I had to have it. For a shorter coat, it’s quite warm and incredibly cozy, and there are functional buttons along the front that allow you to close it on those chilly days, though I find that I prefer to leave it draped open over chunky sweaters. My only note is that it does run quite large, so I suggest sizing down if you prefer a more tailored fit.

Best Beanie

2. Zara Turned-Up Knit Beanie

Zara

I’ll never go a winter season without a new beanie, and this beauty adds a fresh pop of color that I didn’t know was missing from my life until now. It’s chunky and, most importantly, oh-so comfortable every time I wear it. I’m talking no traces of itchiness or suffocation, and you know that’s impressive once you learn that it contains wool, which is normally known to be beyond warm but slightly itchy. I repeat: This has no itch, people.

Best Sweater

3. Zara Basic Soft Knit Sweater

Zara

This piece reminds me of the sweater trend French women adore with its chunky design, thick fabrication and hip length. I ended up walking away with it after trying it on in the dressing room because it’s such an ideal piece to layer over long-sleeve tees or tanks, but it’s also great to pair with jeans or skirts and wear under long coats. When I tried it on in store, I sized up two times from my usual Zara size of M to an XL (pictured above) for a baggy fit, but ended up leaving with the L because I liked that it was still oversize but not unflattering. If you’re anything like me and tend to run hot, be warned that this is so warm on its own, you might need to cool it on the layers if you don’t want to end up drenched in sweat.

Best Scarf

4. Zara Fringed Wide Scarf

Zara

A neutral scarf makes for the best accessory, especially because it can be paired with nearly everything in your wardrobe. Perhaps, that’s why I gravitated immediately towards this one in the store. It boasts tons of warmth, thanks to the traces of wool that are in the blend, and it has fringe at either end for a bit of fun. I like that it’s rather large—66.9 inches long and 11.8 inches wide, to be exact. Wear it wrapped around your neck, draped on the collars of your coat or as a makeshift balaclava.

These fingerless gloves may be more fashionable than functional, but if loving them is wrong, then I don’t want to be right. Another essential that came home with me, these trendy gloves, which are made with 13 percent wool, are beyond cool and really keep my knuckles from getting chapped when its windy out. And they actually cover an impressive amount of my long fingers.

Best Holiday Dress

6. Zara Peplum Velvet Dress

Zara

Got a holiday part on your calendar? Look no further than this velvet stunner. The sleeveless frock boasts a round neck and peplum hem that flares out along the hips. My favorite detail is the embossed metal buttons—they shine against the dark, rich material. Pair it with some stockings and pumps for an enviable look that’s sure to attract oohs and aahs.

Having a hefty coat at the ready come winter is a must, especially for those who live in colder climates. This beauty is a part of Zara’s ZW Collection and features a fitted silhouette that’s slightly tapered at the waist for a flattering and sleek look. It’s made of a warm wool blend and has a smooth viscose interior lining that’ll eliminate any possibility of itch from the knit. And the white color is ideal for anyone looking for a luxe and elevated outerwear piece, though I also love the trendy burgundy shade for a pop of color.

Best Velvet Blouse

8. Zara Velvet Wrap Jacket

Zara

This wrap top proves that you don’t have to live in traditional sweaters all season long. It’s made from a soft and luxurious velvet fabric that’ll feel amazing on your skin and look extremely chic. Not to mention, the relaxed sleeves and fitted, flattering elements give it a modish feel that’ll look great on a night out. I also can’t get enough of the fabric tie at either sides of the hem—it’s both fashionable and functional, acting as an accessory to embellish and keep your blouse situated.

Best Bomber Jacket

9. Zara Faux-Leather Bomber Jacket

Zara

I have a feeling this bomber jacket will be worn plenty of times for years to come. It has a roomy, oversize fit and vintage design that looks like you could have plucked this gem from the flea market. The quality of the faux-leather finish looks quite luxurious, too.

PureWow readers adore these high-waist sailor jeans. They’re fitted at the waist, hugging the butt nicely with large, back patch pockets before relaxing at the thighs and flaring out into a wide leg that’ll pair well with your everyday sneakers. (Or ballet pumps or ankle boots.) As for the fit and feel, you can expect that these denim jeans will have a slight stretch to them as they are made from a cotton and elastane blend.

Most Elegant Sweater

11. Zara Belted Soft Sweater

Zara

I’m always in the market for sweaters, and this long-sleeve beauty is perfect for my ladies looking for something refined, polished and cozy. It has a round neck and longer length that falls just below the hips, but the best part is easily the skinny (and adjustable!) ties at the waist, which cinch the whole look in and create a flattering hourglass illusion.

Best Cardigan

12. Zara Basic Wool Cardigan

Zara

You can never own too many cardigans. In wintertime, it’s better to be safe—in this case, prepared—than sorry, especially with a knit that’s crafted from 100 percent wool. The burgundy colored, long-sleeve cardi comes in a classic silhouette with traditional features like a round neck and front button closures. Plus, it has rib trimming along the neckline, waistband and cuffs that adds a sweet touch to this otherwise understated knit. Whether you layer it over a T-shirt, drape it on your shoulders or wear it on its own, this is a pick everyone needs in their closet. Oh, and did I mention it comes in a variety of colors like pink and brown, to name a few.

Best Rib Dress

13. Zara Draped Midi Dress

Zara

Come winter, I’m all about ease over fuss, and this midi dress came to deliver. It has long sleeves, a tasteful high neck and a side ruching along the bodice that’s oh-so flattering. It has a thin, soft rib material with lots of stretch and a luxe weight to it. Chic and elegant, the dress, which comes in three colors (maroon, black and green), is a must-have to complete that winter capsule wardrobe.

Best Knee-High Boots

14. Zara Tall Boots

Zara

Practical, well-designed and durable, you can bet that these boots will last you more than a few seasons. The tall shaft is particularly popular this time of year, plus they have a roomy, wide calf that won’t feel suffocating around the legs and will allow you to tuck in pants (if you don’t feel like wearing them under skirts or dresses). Oh, and they have a zipper that makes them a breeze to slip your foot into. The 1.2-inch sole will give you a bit of boost in height, but it shouldn’t feel difficult or strenuous to walk long distances. And they have a rough, rigid bottom that gives them some nice traction on slippery terrains. I’m loving the classic, riding look that the asymmetrical design and pull tab detail on either side add.

Best Faux-Leather Pants

15. Zara Faux-Leather Straight-Leg Pants

Zara

‘Tis the season to break out your faux-leather leggings and pants. If sleek and sophisticated is what you’re after, then you’ll love this pair from Zara. With a mid-rise waist and classic belt loops, this style will act just like your traditional straight-leg pants but look way cooler, thanks to that faux-leather finish. In fact, the fabric has a subtle shine to it that can easily be dressed up or down for any occasion. Just play around with your turtleneck, oversize sweater and blouse pairings to make chic ‘fits for any day of the week.

Best Satin Top

16. Zara Gathered Satin Effect Top

Zara

PureWow readers absolutely adore Zara satin tops, and lucky for us, Zara constructed an ultra-flattering blouse in the silky fabric. This satin effect top has a flattering gathered effect that makes the blouse cinch at the smallest part of the waist. Dress it up with a satin skirt for a luxe look or pair it back with jeans for an easy outfit that’s more relaxed.

Best Mini Skirt

17. Zara Animal Print Mini Skirt

Zara

Good news: You don’t have to store away your mini skirts for the entire season. In fact, I’m buying more to add to my collection, like this animal printed stunner from Zara. The mid-rise skirt is made with a faux-fur fabric that has a thicker quality compared to a silky slip. There’s even a side zip closure hidden in the seam, so you won’t have to hike the fabric up every time you need to run to the bathroom. Sophisticated and elegant, the mini skirt would not be complete without the matching jacket that’s constructed with the same textured material and fun print.

Best Floral Print Dress

18. Zara Printed Tulle Dress

Zara

If you’re on the hunt for a wedding guest dress that isn’t nauseously expensive, then let me show you this tulle dress that’s less than $50. The textured fabric has a gorgeous floral print etched onto the material—the hints of white and plum adding depth and pops of color against the rusted brown base. The midi dress has a modest boatneck, but just wait until you see the open back with dainty crisscross straps. It creates an elaborate twist of fabric that’s both secure enough to hold your chest in and arresting to look at. The brand notes that the style runs small, so you may want to consider sizing up for a comfortable fit that doesn’t cling too tight.

A knit vest like this top from Zara is such a smart way to stay comfy and look cute if you live in warmer climates, because you can still wear that knitwear you crave yet stay cool and not sweat through the fabric while the sun beats down. It’s also a great layering piece for anyone in freezing temperatures, and can be styled a myriad of ways over blouses or under coats. And don’t get me started on the cute and playful fringe trim details...

Best Coatigan

20. Zara Long Cardigan 13

Zara

What do you get when you combine a coat and a cardigan? A coatigan, people. Like wearing your favorite blanket, this open knit cardigan is the ultimate piece to drape on and sport around the house or while running errands or at the office (because it gets cold there, too). It has extra-long sleeves with relaxed, dropped shoulders that’ll make it all the more cozy, and it features an open front and a wide collar with rib trim to break up the cable knit embroidery nicely.

I love silk bias skirts more than anything, that’s why I’m expanding my collection this season with wintery colors. It’s smooth, oh-so soft and incredibly luxe. The satin fabric creates a brilliant sheen that’ll catch the light with every twirl, and it’ll look just as stylish when paired with your boots. Psst…there’s a stretchy elastic waistband that won’t dig into your skin, too.

Trudging through snow, sleet or rain calls for a puffer. Zara’s midi version covers a lot of your body, ending just below the knees, and protects you from the onslaught of water and wind without making you feel like a stuffed sausage. That’s right, it’s water repellent and is made with a thermal insulation that is proven to withstand temperatures as low as negative 31 degrees Fahrenheit, according to the brand. I appreciate that it has a high collar and a hood, because there’s nothing worse than messing up your hair after you spent an hour on it. The sleeves have interior cuffs that are designed to keep the cold out, and you’ll be surprised to find that there are ventilated slits on either side. And it has pockets, people!

This velvet midi dress takes winter evening wear to a whole new level. It’s elegant, sophisticated and looks like liquid on the body, thanks to the drape of the smooth material. Playing around with your footwear is one of the easiest and most fun ways to spice up your look, and these adorable slingbacks are calling your name. Versatile to their core, these long straight-leg jeans are made with 100 percent cotton and come in a deep blue that can go from casual to fancy with the swap of heels or a nice blouse in place of your sneakers and chunky knit. Best Scarf Coat

27. Zara Wool Blend Scarf Coat

Zara

On those windy days, you need a lightweight yet sturdy coat and scarf to get the job done and keep you warm. Enter: the scarf coat from Zara’s ZW Collection. It’s made with a wool blend fabric that’s not thick and weighty like the aforementioned Manteco Wool Coat, yet warm and insulating all the same. The wraparound collar has a scarf attached, so it’ll look chic and elevated strewn around your neck. Not to mention, it'll eliminate the need to carry a scarf. Other details I love: the hidden pockets along the inseam and button closures along the front. It practically screams quiet luxury and would look so chic atop one of the formal dresses above.
