As a fashion editor and runner, I’m a sucker for any workout gear that also feels supremely chic. Which is precisely why I immediately became enamored with Tracksmith’s classically cool running gear, and even happier to discover these pieces don’t just look good, they also perform through tough workouts and agressive sweat sessions. And right now you can save big during Tracksmith’s Black Friday sale—now through Dec. 2—with 20 percent off sitewide, using the code TURKEYTROT24, and even further discounts on some hot favorites, like the Harrier Long Sleeve (was $95, now $57) and the Nor’Easter Jacket (was $300, now $168).

This prestigious fitness brand rarely goes on sale, so if you’ve had your eye on something special or have yet to experience the glory that is the Twilight Tank Top (was $65, now $52), I highly recommend adding them to your shopping cart ASAP. In my experience, things tend to sell out very quickly as Tracksmith fans snap up fresh new colors of their favorite items. Not sure where to start? Below you’ll find my 14 top picks for the best pieces to shop this Black Friday, whether you’re a beginner runner, an experienced marathoner or looking for the perfect gift for your running buddy.

These Tracksmith Sneakers Are the Ultimate Travel Shoe, Especially for Runners

For fans of natural fibers, this long-sleeve top is an absolute must-have, especially now that it’s 40 percent off. It is made of 89 percent merino wool, which is phenomenal at wicking away moisture and keeping you warm even while wet, meaning you won’t feel totally frozen walking back to your home or car post run. Plus, wool naturally repells odors, so you also don’t have to stress over post-workout stink. “The shirt itself is very warm and comfortable to run in,” writes one reviewer. “Did a great job keeping me warm on a cold winter run Wisconsin. Fabric was warm, but not scratchy. Really liked the fit!”

The Van Cortlandt Singlet is perhaps Tracksmith’s most recognizable clothing item. Inspired by old-school collegiate running kits, it has a single stripe running from the right shoulder across the chest and is made from a surprisingly soft mesh that’s both durable and lightweight. Take it from someone who owns three of these chic singlets (and who has her eye on at least two additional colors), these tanks are worth the splurge. A note on sizing however: I recommend going up one from your usual size, as there is little to no stretch in the material.

  • Materials: 82 percent polyester, 18 percent spandex

For a stocking stuffer or Secret Santa gift that won’t break the bank but will become a beloved part of their workout wardrobe, look no further than these compressive crew socks. The 5-inch height has the Gen Z stamp of approval, and as a millennial, I love the slim fit—think less chunky ‘80s sock and more sleek pop of color. The material and cut offer lightweight compression to keep your feet feeling fresh on race day, and there’s just enough cushioning in the toe and heel.

  • Size Range: XS to L
  • Materials: 95 percent polyamide, 5 percent elastane

Senior Editor and fellow Tracksmith obsessive Dana Dickey and I have both raved about the Eliot running sneaker in the past, and I absolutely plan to invest in a fun new color (there are eight to choose from) now that they’re 20 percent off. They’re a neutral shoe with a Pebax foam insole and supercritical foam midsole that provides ample cushion without needing to build up the sole to a super-chunky level. They’re a great and versatile shoe for everyday runs, all while looking incredibly chic.

“I'm wearing my Federation Track Pants as I type this,” admits Dickey. “They have a fuzzy interior, comfy medium-wide waistband and cool-looking side stripes that lengthen my petite legs. What’s especially cool about these pants is that I’ve had them for three years and they wear like iron and are as cute with pumps and they are practical/pro-looking to wear for working out on the UCLA track.” They also have hidden zips on the ankles to make it easier to pull them over your sneakers after a warm up, or to just add a cool kick if you’re strolling about town.

  • Size Range: XS to XL
  • Materials: 79 percent cotton, 17 percent polyester, 4 percent spandex

This lightweight top is my go-to for literally any and all workouts—long runs, 400m repeats, tempo runs, easy runs and more. The material is lightweight, wicks away moisture with ease and has a decent amount of stretch so you can comfortably scrunch up the sleeves when you want some additional airflow. Dickey attests, “I live in my Session Long Sleeve for cold outdoor workouts. It’s also just cute as a sporty top with jeans.”

  • Size Range: XS to XL
  • Materials: 84 percent polyester, 16 percent spandex

Much like the Session Long Sleeve, these shorts are designed to see you through any and all types of runs. They have a 3-inch inseam, an adjustable drawcord in the waistband, a super-smooth lining and built-in UPF 50+ to protect your skin from harmful UV rays. This updated style also has a roomier fit than previous models, plus three internal drop-in pockets and one external zip pocket to give you even more storage capabilities.

  • Materials: 92 percent polyester, 8 percent spandex

This lightweight jacket is both water and wind repellant, and has a merino wool lining to keep you warm and odor-free even on the longest winter runs. But perhaps my favorite feature is the baseball collar, which dips in at the top of the zipper and eliminates an issue I have with so many running jackets, which is the collar rubbing, bumping and generally bothering my chin. The Nor’Easter jacket also comes with a two-way zipper and two zippered hand pockets. My adivce? Don’t think twice about adding this workhorse to your shopping cart, especially while it’s $120 off.

  • Size Range: XS to XL
  • Materials: 51 percent wool, 28 percent nylon, 16 percent polyester, 5 percent elastane

This unisex shacket is the ideal fall layer, and the wool/cotton-blend material is warm but not too warm to keep you feeling cozy and comfy after your runs. It has two flap pockets at the front, as well as two side pockets for your hands, and there are snaps along the front closure. Because of the co-ed design, Tracksmith suggests that women should order their usual size if they want a slightly oversize fit, or go down one if they want something a bit slimmer.

  • Size Range: S to XL
  • Materials: 40 percent wool, 30 percent cotton, 15 percent nylon, 8 percent polyester, 7 percent other fibers

PureWow’s former Senior Food Editor Katherine Gillen wears her Turnover Tights multiple times a week, they’re just that good. They’re made from an innovative Inverno Blend fabric that is designed to work almost like a double layer of clothing without any added bulk. The durable outer face is treated to wick away precipitation, like light rain or snow, while the brushed inner helps provide a barrier between your skin and the fabric, which means your legs won’t ever feel like they’re being hit with cold rain. “They may be a bit pricy,” admits Gillen, “but these Tracksmith leggings are just so good.” Snap them up now while they’re 20 percent off.

  • Size Range: XS to XL
  • Materials: 80 percent polyamide, 20 percent elastane

This are not your average running gloves. First, there’s the Inverno fabric, which is super smooth, lightweight and great at wicking away excess moisture. Then there are the super-soft panels along the thumb and forefinger specifically placed to prevent irritation when you inevitably find yourself wiping away snot on your winter runs (it happens to all of us). And to top it all off, they also have touchscreen compatible panels on the pointer finger and thumb so you can text your running group without exposing your digits to the cold. Pro tip: Fingers tend to swell when you run, so if you’re between sizes I suggest opting for the larger pair to avoid the fabric feeling too clingy or tight.

  • Materials: 80 percent polyester, 20 percent elastane

Dickey and I are both chomping at the bit to get our hands on this comfy, cold-weather staple. “I’ll most likely order a size up, as I do with most Tracksmith items, since I like my clothes a bit looser,” says Dickey, and in this instance I agree. Plus, a roomier fit makes it easier to layer underneath on truly frigid days without restricting movement. “The Fells Turtleneck is going to be my ‘too breezy for no sweater, but too sunny for a full jacket’ go-to for exploring Los Angeles farmers’ markets and running errands this winter,” says Dickey.

FAST FACTS

  • Size Range: XS to XL
  • Materials: 65 percet merino wool / 35 percent polyester honeycomb jacquard

The Twilight series is by far my favorite for running in hot weather, so trust me when I say you’ll be glad you stocked up on a few of these tanks (or T-shirts) now while they’re on sale come July’s inevitable heat and humidity. The material is incredibly light and breathable, and feels like you’re wearing nothing, which is a real godsend when it’s 80 degrees and you’ve still got two miles to go.

FAST FACTS

  • Size Range: XS to XL
  • Materials: 82 percent nylon, 15 percent elastane, 5 percent carbon

Another great stocking stuffer for the Tracksmith devotee, this water bottle is insulated to keep drinks cold for hours on end. Seriously, I’ll fill it up with ice and water before going to bed and the ice is still there come morning when I head out the door for a run. The sleek design fits easily in backpack pockets and car cupholders, and the mouth is wide and easy to drink from without spilling all over the place. Best of all, it is designed by the B-Corp brand MiiR for an eco-friendly bonus.
