Rihanna has never been one to stick with the norm, especially when it comes to fashion. So it should come as no surprise that her maternity style is every bit as adventurous and fabulous as her pre-baby looks. In case you missed it, the singer and beauty mogul used her Super Bowl halftime performance to announce that she's expecting her second child with partner A$AP Rocky. And she did so while wearing custom Loewe and Alaïa.

Of course, the internet has been abuzz ever since, and we've been wonderfully reminded of RiRi's incredible maternity wear. Now, we can only imagine what she might wear next (and we highly doubt there will be any shapeless mumus or dowdy maternity tops in her future). From hot pink puffer coats to sequin fringe and lots of belly-baring ensembles, here are Rihanna’s best pregnancy outfits thus far.

Rihanna Spills Deets on Her Upcoming 9th Studio Album

1. The Pink Puffer Coat

On January 31, 2022, Rihanna and A$AP Rocky announced their first pregnancy with a stroll through snowy Harlem photographed by Miles Diggs, aka Diggzy. Fans were overjoyed at the news, but it didn’t take long before the conversation moved toward figuring out where we could find a hot pink puffer like the one sported by RiRi (scroll through to see the coat, or peep the photos here). Unfortunately for us, the coat is a vintage Chanel design from 1996, although there is a similar style available at Amazon for much less than the designer number’s estimated $10,000 price tag.

2. Black Low-Rise Leggings and a Lace-Up Top

Maternity leggings are pretty much a must-have for anyone who’s expecting, but Rihanna was never going to wear them like any other mom, was she? On February 9, 2022, she posted photos to Instagram of her rocking a matching black hoodie, a lace-up cardigan by Jean Paul Gaultier and low-rise stirrup leggings by The Attico with the rather apt caption “all black everything.” She accessorized with long gold chains to highlight her growing belly even more and a close-fitting balaclava.

3. An Early Aughts Throwback

In another belly-baring ensemble on February 11, 2022, RiRi opted for a blue and beige theme over all black. Her combination of low-rise boyfriend jeans, a Fendi tie-front top and a vintage mixed denim and animal print duster coat gave us major 2000s vibes, especially with the addition of a camo print trucker hat and another Y2K must-have: a denim Christian Dior saddle bag.

4. Sequin Fringe

Later that same evening, Rihanna changed into a party-ready custom sequin set by The Attico at an event celebrating Fenty Beauty and Fenty Skin, both of which are available to shop at Sephora and on the Fenty site.

5. All-Red Everything

When Rihanna took the stage for Super Bowl LVII on February 12, everyone assumed it would be an unforgettable performance. Little did we know RiRi was going to reveal she's pregnant with her second child while wearing a stunning all-red outfit. The singer sported a bright red flight suit over a skin-tight catsuit and shiny breastplate, all courtesy of Loewe, along with sneakers from the Maison Margiela x Salomon collab. She also accessorized with gloves from Alaïa. Then, for the end of her performance, Rihanna added an oversized puffer coat from Alaïa, which seemed to be a tribute to an iconic look worn by the late André Leon Talley, who passed away in January 2022.
