Rihanna Returned to the Red Carpet Rocking 2023’s Color of the Year

It seems 2023 is set to be the year of Rihanna, and you won't find us complaining. While the “Diamonds” singer recently graced us with new music (nearly six years after releasing her last studio album, Anti), now she's brought us a showstopping red carpet look.

On Friday, October 27, RiRi dropped “Lift Me Up” for the Black Panther: Wakanda Forever soundtrack, and then attended the film's Hollywood premiere, where she wore a stunning dress from the Rick Owens F/W22 collection.

Unsurprisingly, Rihanna absolutely killed it. The 34-year-old sported a shimmering, sequined design with baby blue detailing at the edges. The strapless dress included a piece of wide fabric around the waist and it was paired with matching opera gloves.

However, while we were in love with the Fenty Beauty founder's gown, we couldn't help but notice the color: sage green.

Rihanna has never been behind on trends, and the earthy color has been everywhere recently. At PureWow, we even predicted it would be our color of 2023.

After giving birth to a baby boy back in the spring, this was the first time Rihanna has walked the red carpet in months.

The last time we saw the “Love on the Brain” singer was back in March, when she attended Paris Fashion Week in gorgeous ensembles that showed off her baby bump.

This time around, the beauty mogul was joined by her partner and the father of her son, rapper A$AP Rocky, 34.

The pair were captured laughing together and holding hands, (looking like serious couple goals). Better yet, A$AP also wore a sage green 'fit that perfectly matched with Rihanna's.

You've certainly been missed, Rihanna.
