The ’60s-Inspired Fashion Trend That Looks Good on Everyone

Fashion trends are great and all. Except when they're so specific that they only look good if you have supermodel proportions. So when we stumble upon one that works for a wide range of sizes and builds, we rejoice. This season, that trend is printed, '60s-inspired shift dresses. Case in point:

Seen on recent runways at Michael Kors, Gucci and Miu Miu, vintage florals are back in a big way. While it's still chilly, pair yours with thick tights and an equally bold coat. When the weather warms up, ditch the stockings and rock bare legs.

A few things to keep in mind, fit-wise: Look for one that hits ever so slightly above your knee. When you're working with a silhouette that floats away from the body, you can get away with a shorter hemline.

Pair yours with flats (or, sans tights, with a crisp pair of white sneakers) to avoid looking too vampy.

If you do go for a heeled shoe, make like Coterie member Katie Sturino and choose a dress that's closer to knee-length.

Or, if you're on the shorter side, take a page out of Tiffany Jais's playbook and pair your floral mini with over-the-knee boots, which will further elongate your legs.

Groovy, baby.
