As of late, royal watchers have been buzzing about Bea—Princess Beatrice that is. And even though I can’t stop thinking about the potential that she might take on a bigger role within the royal family, I also can’t stop thinking about her recent choice to wear a puff sleeve denim jacket from Alice & Olivia in rockstar blue, $395.

Beatrice first wore it for a very special occasion: to read When Dinosaurs Walked the Earth at a local school and to mark the inaugural Oscar’s Book Club, an initiative for which she is patron. Bea subsequently wore the very same denim jacket out in Monaco, alongside her cousin Zara Tindall, to mark the F1 Grand Prix. For both occasions, she styled the jacket with a dress.

Doesn’t she look so easy breezy? And don’t the puff sleeves (and cropped hem) really dress things up? I love how easily this particular Alice & Olivia style works as a layer and—just as Bea clearly does—I know it’s something I’d reach for again and again.

This is for sure a style that’s going to sell out. In the meantime, I’ll be shopping for cute midi dresses, too. A floral number a la Bea would be perfect for summer, don’t you think?
