The Invictus Games One Year to Go Winter Training Camp is officially in session in Vancouver, Canada, and guess who's front and center? Meghan Markle (our fashion icon), of course! And we must say, she's been coming through with all the winter looks. But the outfit that she wore on Feb. 16 is the one we want to talk about. From her camel-colored cape coat to her sleek Valerie jeans ($185) from La Ligne, the Duchess of Style leaned heavy on the quiet luxury vibe. However, we can't help but direct our attention straight to her gorgeous black leather riding boots, which we can totally see ourselves pairing with breezy mini dresses this spring.

According to the Daily Mail, the shoes are by Los Angeles label CO, and were "handcrafted from smooth calfskin." So, unsurprisingly, they cost a whopping $1,195. Out of your price range? Same. That's why we did some internet sleuthing and uncovered similar timeless pairs for under $500 (some, way under), to channel Markle's look for a fraction of the price. And, because we'd never let you down, we're sharing 'em below.

1. Cole Haan Leather Newburg Boots
Cole Haan
The first place we went searching for black leather riding boots was obviously Nordstrom, and not much to our surprise, we came across these bad boys from Cole Haan right away. First of all, they look almost identical to the ones Markle wore, from the sleek design down to the calf length. And while we can't confirm that Markle's boots are waterproof, we can say that these are, and since they also have a grippy lug sole, rain and slush won't stand a chance. Just take it from one happy buyer: "I wore them [for two] straight days [when I got them]. They repel water and are very comfortable...The lug sole kept me stable in the rain. The fabric in the calf is awesome and repels water as well. The shaft is tall but perfect for me. I love these boots!" That could be you if you scoop them up while they're *$150* off.

2. Sam Edelman Leather Cesar Boots
Sam Edelman
So you love Markle's boots but want a pair with a bit more shine (literally). Say no more, this style is all you. It's got all the features of a classic riding boot (a zippered side closure, square toe and a rubber outsole), but the leather has a gorgeous glossy finish, making them look just a tad more dressed-up. The shoes also have pull tabs for easy on-and-off, as well as a PU footbed for optimal comfort and wearability. So, as one buyer says, "They're a statement-maker," and they should feel as good as they look.
