Wear. Rewear. Rinse. Repeat. The Duchess of Sussex, Meghan Markle, recently gave new life to a gorgeous cherry tomato red gown that she wore a couple of years back to the Salute to Freedom Gala in November of 2021. The bright show-stopping hue has been trending big time for fall this year, so it's no wonder that Markle donned this same Carolina Herrera gown to the 2024 Children's Hospital Los Angeles Gala in LA over the weekend.

During the gown's original run, Markle wore the two piece dress in full. The design features an inner loose and long strappy pencil skirt dress with a heart-shaped bodice and plunging neckline. On top of the garment is a removable overskirt, adding body and shape to the overall ensemble. In 2021, Markle opted for both the dress and overskirt, a chic slicked back bun, satin pointed-toe heels and diamond jewelry.

This year, the royal was photographed wearing the gown more casually. She ditched the overskirt and opted only for the pencil skirt dress, allowing the more form-fitting elements to shine. The Duchess paired her dress with thin red heels, but this time they were open-toed. She wore her hair in free flowing beachy waves to complete the look.

Alas, the Carolina Herrera gown is sold out! But I was able to source some stunning lookalikes so you too can turn heads this wedding season.

This Amanda Uprichard X Revolve collaboration really embodies the spirit of Meghan's Carolina Herrera dress with a similar bright red hue, plunging neckline and leg slit. And this design, made in the USA with a 100 percent lightweight crepe fabric, features a hidden back zipper closure.

In a slightly different vein, this v-neck dress, by Asian-owned and founded brand Mac Duggal, has asymmetrical bow detailing on one strap of the sleeveless garment. The gown is completed with a full-length trumpet skirt with a small train.

La Femme switches things up a bit with a looser, spaghetti-strapped sweetheart neckline and floor-sweeping swishy skirt. Their deeper-hued dress is complete with a thigh-high side slit and open, lace-up back, so you can show off the perfect amount of skin with this little number.

Mimicking the center slit of the Herrera dress, this SOLACE London gown from Revolve keeps things elegant with the use of a mid-weight fabric. Liven things up with some sparkling jewelry or let simplicity take the front seat.
