I've never been much of a jumpsuit girl. The fit's always a little off, they'll hug me in all the wrong places and they all around just don't feel like me...until I tried the new Everlane Linen Picnic Jumpsuit. I may not a huge fan of jumpsuits, but linen is one of my all-time favorite fabrics to wear, so I decided to give this one a shot—and I'm so glad I did.
What's The Fit Like?
Slipping into this jumpsuit is super easy. It has a six-button front closure that starts at the belly button and works its way up to the neckline, and the linen belt is removable. I am about five-foot-seven with long legs and wide hips, so I didn't have high hopes for the fit of this jumpsuit, but it hugs my waist like a dream (& the tie belt accentuates it even more) and hits my low shins. It's a very breezy and loose (but not too loose) fitting jumpsuit, which I absolutely love for everyday wear in summer.
I may be a little tall, but my torso is quite short, so I do notice the top of the inseam sits a little low from where the top of my legs start, but it's nothing that bugs me enough to order a smaller size.A final thing to note with the fit: Linen is obviously not stretchy, so if you are larger chested, you may notice it's too tight or see some pulling around the buttons. I am a 34D, and when I'm not wearing a bra (which I wouldn't normally with this material), it has an elasticized back for a little extra give, but it doesn't really add too much.
Is It Comfortable?
As can be! Of course, the biggest "ugh" with jumpsuits is having to take the whole thing off to go to the bathroom. But because this linen is so roomy, it comes off and on fairly easily. I've worn the jumpsuit multiple times now and it's become one of my favorite pieces to throw on to work comfortably from home. Even though the jumper's pants are long, it's still a great choice for summer wear because it's so lightweight and breathable.
How Do I Style It?
Because the jumpsuit acts as a base to your look, interchanging accessories, bags, shoes and even outerwear is super easy based on what you're feeling that day. I love adding my Alex Crane linen button-up as outerwear with my Cariuma sneakers for a light, comfy look. The relaxed nature of the jumpsuit makes it great to pair with chunky sneakers and a baseball cap, too. However, if you're headed to the office, a set of heeled mules with a light turtleneck or short sleeved blouse will dress it up for appropriate (and adorable) office wear.
The Linen Picnic Jumpsuit is available in four colors and it's going fast, so add to your cart ASAP. You can thank me later!
