Everlane is my go-to whether I’m on the hunt for minimalist fashion or hoping to copy one of Meghan Markle’s latest looks. But ever since January, when the brand launched its now-bestselling Perform Legging, it’s also become one of my favorite places to score affordable activewear. Seriously, I’m wearing the Perform Bike Short as I type this, just like I do almost every day while working from home because they’re that comfortable.
So when I heard Everlane was coming out with a Perform Cropped Tank, the Perform Tank Bra and the Perform Pocket Legging, I knew I had to get all pieces on my body immediately. Thankfully, I was able to get my hands on them a few days early and let me tell you: They’re buttery soft and have that barely-there feeling, just like the leggings and bike shorts.
I was also taken aback by how confident I felt in the cropped tank and leggings. Normally, I like to cover up my midsection with a loose tee before I work out, but the flattering fabric of the cropped tank and the not-too-snug fit of the leggings’ waistband made me feel comfortable enough to rock the set to a virtual dance cardio, sans additional layers. During the workout, the set’s lightweight compressive fabric made me feel held in and sculpted, but it never felt tight or restrictive. I hardly ever had to adjust either piece—save for hiking the leggings up a few times after jumping jacks. FYI, that’s the true sign of a good workout set.
The only thing better than the fit and ultrasoft fabric? The price. The Perform Cropped Tank is $38, Perform Tank Bra is $32 and the Perform Pocket Legging is $58, so whether you want to match yours to the Perform Legging or the Perform Bike Short, which are $58 and $38 respectively, you can invest in an entire set for less than $100. That’s pretty good, considering a comparable one from Lululemon or Outdoor Voices would cost you upwards of $150.
Sold? I thought so. Here, find the six pieces in Everlane’s activewear line.
