Hello January and hello 2025! New year, new us, right? As usual, I’ve chatted with my fellow editors to see what they’ve got on their shopping lists to kick off 2025. From a comfortable pregnancy pillow courtesy of our expectant Executive Managing Editor to handy waterproof boots you’ll need to schlep it through the ice and snow this winter, check out our top recommendations of the month.

Cherry red is the trend of the winter, and SEO Editor Marissa Wu is thinking about making these ballet flats her next fashion pickup. “I'm trying really hard not to buy another pair of ballet flats lol, but these patent leather cherry red Margauxs are like, screaming my name!” If the bright red color is a little too much for you, then there are 11 other shades at your disposal.

Natalie LaBarbera, Assistant Commerce Editor, recommends picking up these chic sneakers for the spring season ahead. “These celeb-loved sneakers are by far one of the comfiest styles I've worn, thanks to the padding at the ankles and memory foam footbed,” she says in her review of the shoes. They come in five colors and are under $150, making them a worthy investment.

This one is from me, personally! I can’t stand winter, so I’m already thinking about the warmer months ahead. I’ve never owned a shoe technically classified for hiking, and I think these bad boys have got my name written all over them. The GTX is actually a new Hoka release that the brand says has a softer feel and more durability. Best of all? They’re waterproof, meaning your shoes won’t be completely ruined if it happens to rain while you’re on the trails.

I'm always battling dark under-eye circles, so I'm constantly on the hunt for products that reduce or eliminate the problem altogether. I've been eyeing this multi-peptide serum for a while because of its 5-star reviews for lifting and tightening your skin, while also getting rid of those nagging bags and dark circles. Eye serums can tend to cost as much as $200 to $300, so I consider the $44 price tag a major steal.

On the top of Executive Managing Editor Catrina Yohay's list is this cozy, comfy pregnancy pillow. “I'm in the pregnancy phase where good sleep is slipping away and finding a comfortable position feels next to impossible, so I think it's about time to invest in a pregnancy pillow,” she says. “After talking to friends and doing some research, I plan on buying this one. I love that it's easily adjustable, has a washable cover and isn't as ginormous and bulky as others I've seen.”

I had my eyes on this leather briefcase from Maverick ever since it was named Forbes’ best briefcase pick for 2024. I’ve never subscribed to the idea that only men can carry briefcases, and this one is as sleek and stylish as they come. Make no mistake, the leather is rock solid (enough to last you for years), and there is more space than meets the eye.

Yohay also has her sights set on this dresser she’s been eyeing for a while. “I've been eyeing this McGee & Co. dresser for MONTHS, but I could not justify that price tag. As my luck would have it, they're currently having a 25 percent off bedroom sale and I am so close to pulling the trigger. It's a splurge (and to some, maybe a waste) but it's the perfect piece for my very empty bedroom. I'm obsessed with the rounded shape, waterfall edges, dainty brass hardware and stunning olive-green color. If the fates align, hoping to combine it with the brand's 15 percent off first-time purchase discount too (#salehacking). May have to just close my eyes and click buy!”

Steph Meraz, Associate Fashion Commerce Editor, is finally picking up this luxe top for the winter. “My sister wore this as a base layer when she visited during the holidays and I remember thinking how luxe and cozy it looked on her with its thin, soft modal cashmere blend, and now it’s all I see on social media,” she writes. “It’s sold out multiple times in various colorways, so I think it’s about time I listened to my gut and add it to cart while I can.”

Need a new view? Associate Editor Sydney Meister has this stunning Canvas Tv on her list of favorite products from 2024. “This TV makes you feel like you’re sitting front row at AMC, she wrote in her review, noting, “And then, of course, there’s Art Mode—hands down, my favorite feature. When the TV is off, it transforms into a curated digital art display that could rival a gallery in Chelsea.” Roger that! Maybe, this is my call to make the investment too.

Yohay also has a few beauty picks lined up in January, this lip liner from Tower 28 being the first. “Billie Eilish called this lip liner out in a recent TikTok highlighting her pre-show makeup routine and, well, consider me influenced. It's the perfect pinky nude and I prefer the precision of a pencil tip lip liner. Plus, at just $15 it's a pretty affordable buy (as makeup goes these days),” she tells me.

You know what they say —go hard or go home. This Mega 1200 blender has a whopping 1200-watt motor, which the brand says delivers the equivalent of 1.6 horsepower. That sounds pretty dang powerful, if you ask me. Not to mention, it also offers patented blending technology that is supposed to be super high tech (like year 3000 high tech). Consider me sold!

Delia Curtis, Assistant Editor, says this award-winning cooling comforter was one of their top purchases of 2024. "It’s on my bed 99 percent of the time and I only get a little bit sad when I have to pull it off to wash it. It’s moisture-wicking, cooling, absolutely perfect for hot sleepers...and soft and slightly silky to the touch."

I've been wanting to give Beyoncé's Cécred haircare brand a try since seeing the reviews from a few of my fellow editors last summer. The deep conditioning process is my favorite part of getting my hair done, and this formula is made with an African oil and shea butter blend that makes your hair look, feel and smell amazing. Plus, it also does a great job at detangling and preventing excess frizz, which is yet another reason why I'm adding to my cart ASAP.

Also on Wu's list? This brand new lip balm from Typology she has been anxiously awaiting. "Typology is one of my favorite makeup brands, and they just dropped this amazing lip balm/lipstick/tint concoction," she writes. Made with natural ingredients that include hyaluronic acid and ceramides, it comes in four different shades.
