Hello December! Let’s toast to a month full of holiday cheer, relaxation and obviously gifts. Right now, you’re probably focused on shopping for your significant others and kids, but I want you to encourage you to get something for yourself this year as well. You know, maybe that luxury bag you’ve been eyeing for months, or that pair of shoes you’ve had saved in your cart since the beginning of January. As usual, I checked in with our editors to see what they are buying for others this holiday season and, of course, what they’re getting for themselves.

Read on to see our editors' choice picks for December.

SEO Editor Marissa Wu recently tested out this Clyde Trench Coat from Sézane and loves it. "I think because of the ability to layer with other clothing, I’d choose the Clyde as a key transition piece in my wardrobe,” she writes in her review, adding, “I can see it on its own being perfect in the early fall when it’s breezy but still a bit warm, and then allowing you to throw on a couple sweaters as winter settles in but isn’t yet cold enough for a proper wool coat."

Aside from its stylish design, this trench coat is also waterproof, giving it plenty of versatility.

It’s beginning to look (and feel) a lot like Christmas, which means you’re going to need a solid coat to get you through the season. Enter: The Garnet Cropped Puffer Coat from Canada Goose, which Associate Fashion Commerce Editor, Stephanie Meraz, got a chance to test. "Last year, the brand gave me the chance to test out the Canada Goose Garnet Cropped Puffer ($1,650), and I jumped at the opportunity (after all, what better way to look at the buzzy brand than with apprehensive eyes), and now that I live in London, where we’ve already seen first snowfall, my puffer has never seen more use or travelled more miles,” she notes in her review."

Speaking of coats/jackets, I recently picked up this Field Coat from prAna, which actually is a lot warmer than one would expect. The fit is oversized but not boxy, giving you the space needed for layering over a sweater or hoodie, and it covers your neck completely, which is essential for me as I’m prone to getting colds during the winter. Another bonus? The under $200 price tag, which is definitely a steal.

My new spot has made me realize just how important (and convenient) it is to have a floor washer in your cleaning closet. This bad boy really gets into those hard-to-reach creases and crevices, and has a number of different cleaning modes that helps with detecting debris and removing stains. Plus, it also comes with a self-cleaning mode that prevents the device from getting mold/buildup. Best of all, it is currently on sale for $225 off (down from $400), which is *major.*

Don’t tell, but this NIRA Pro Laser is one of my X-MAS gifts to my mother, as she is a skincare fanatic. According to the brand, this device is able to target the hardest-to-reach areas around the eyes and mouth, smooth crow’s feet, and even lift hooded eyes, meaning it’s the crème de la crème when it comes to laser skincare products. I can’t wait to see the look on her face when she sees it.

Candace Davison, VP of Editorial Content, says this book is a must-have for her holiday reading. "If Oprah says this is one of the best self-help books she's read in her life, it's got my attention. After listening to her interview with Mel Robbins, I had to preorder The Let Them Theory. It tackles a topic I've been circling for the past 5 years: the idea of trying to control and micromanage situations, adding unnecessary stress to your life, when freedom is found in letting people live their lives -- without enabling, numbing or checking out of life."

If you’re looking for additional pieces to add to your winter capsule wardrobe, this wool-blend sweater from Massimo Dutti is a good pickup according to Meraz. "Massimo Dutti makes some of the best knits—I’m talking warm, I’m talking soft, I’m talking cute,” she says, adding, “Case in point: This wool-blend Fair Isle knit that’s not just trendy, it’s timeless, too. I’m obsessed with the chic, high neckline for wintertime, and think it would look so fab with your hair in a messy bun, drop earrings, slouchy jeans and ballet flats."

Most of the time I work from cafes or restaurants, but on the rare occasion I do work from home I’m…lazy, which is exactly why this 4-Function table from Haworth has come in handy as you can put it over your lap or use it as a place to prop your feet up. If you aren’t lazy like me, the table can also be used as a standing desk, or you can even have it sitting pretty as an end table. Aside from the fact that it comes in six different colors, it is on sale for $100 off right now, so have at it! Oh, and I definitely recommend pairing the table with one of the brand’s ergonomic office chairs for peak comfort.

I haven’t owned a pair of Skechers since I was kid in the 2000s, but these recently caught my eye as I’ve been on the hunt for a good pair of running shoes that I can use to kickstart my workout goals for 2025. The shoes feature an athletic engineered knit upper with synthetic hot melt overlays, and also features the brand’s Air-Cooled Goga Mat insole and Ultra Light cushioning for prime comfort. Plus, they are an affordable under $100 buy.

PureWow’s Executive Editor Catrina Yohay recommends these highly sought after Scuff Slippers from UGG as a potential gift this year. "I'm very behind on Christmas shopping. (Anyone else only focus on the kids and forget about the adults in the room? Sorry, hubs!) Luckily, the man knows exactly what he wants this year: these slip on UGG slippers that are comfortable enough to wear around the house but not too hot to induce sweaty feet."

Assistant Commerce Editor Natalie LaBarbera is all in on these cozy sweatpants for the winter season. "I need some cozier pieces for walking the dog now that it's actually getting chillier in LA, so I'm planning to pick up these sweats from Outdoor Voices that are made from 100 percent organic cotton and look *so* soft and warm," she says. Comfort aside, they are also quite affordable as they are currently marked down 30 percent.

LaBarbera also has her sights set on this cozy and chic sweater dress from Madewell. "It looks so soft and easy to throw on and go, plus I love that it's made entirely of recycled materials, so it's an eco-friendly choice."

SEO Editor Marissa Wu treated herself for the holidays with this luxury bag from Cuyana, which is a beauty. "I think I’ve finally found * the * perfect everyday bag after years of searching," she exclaims. "It is everything you need for work or a day out, but still elegant so you can schlep in style. It has a handy key strap, so I never have to fish (and I’m always key fishing) a zippered pocket, an open pocket and a laptop compartment. Plus, it’s big but not bulky!" Four different colors accompany the bag, and you can choose whether you want the material to be smooth or leather.

Speaking of treating thyself, I’m going to pick up these leather boots from BCBGMaxazria because I’m long overdue for a pair of new boots (and no I’m not just saying that either). Not only do I love the slouchy design, I also appreciate how they come in a size 5 because I have pretty small feet (I can still wear kids sizes), and it is sooo hard to find shoes in my size sometimes. I also can’t walk away from the major holiday sale, which scores you $200 off.

Wu is also prioritizing her beauty routine this winter, picking up this highly touted foundation from Lancôme. "I’m actually pleasantly surprised. I chose this because after meeting with a fab esthetician (Emme Diane), I felt empowered to double down on my skincare routine and ruthlessly weed out comedogenic products—which ended up in me eliminating probably three quarters of my vanity. I struggle with cyclical acne but since axing all potential acne causing ingredients, I’ve had the clearest skin of my life over the past month. But that meant I needed a new foundation, and Lancôme’s is Emme-approved."

You probably won’t see me anywhere need a ski resort this winter, but you absolutely will see me in this ski hoodie from Mammut, which is beautifully designed and super warm with its 900 cuin fill power insulation. And while it does a great job of keeping you warm, it is also sweat-wicking so you don’t overheat as well, which is a bonus in my opinion. I’m partial to the Night Sky color, but there is also a solid blue option if that is more your fancy. Sure, it is a tad bit on the pricey side, but absolutely worth it considering it can last you years.

I’m not kidding when I say this has been a gamechanger in my skincare routine. My skin and dark under-eye circles are always much better whenever I can get my hands on these, which makes them totally worth their $280 price tag. They are infused with exosomes that target and renourish your skin cells, and the microscopic needles enhance the absorption of potent actives while also promoting cell-to-cell communication, which is why they are so effective. I highly recommend!
