Cynthia Erivo Wears Custom Vera Wang Gown and It's Full Fairy Tale Couture

The lack of a red carpet is no problem for Cynthia Erivo, who has been pulling out all the stops with her award show ensembles.

For the 26th Critics' Choice Awards this weekend, Erivo wore a custom-made gown from Vera Wang. Erivo's go-to stylist, Jason Bolden, shared a slideshow of the stunner on Instagram, writing: "Cynthia In Custom Vera Wang #waist #whatwaist @jveloz."

Erivo, who was nominated for her role in The Outsider, was captured by Juan Veloz (who also photographed Regina King's dazzling Golden Globes dress).

The custom Wang design included a black skirt cloaked in eggshell tulle that made up the bodice, sleeves and top layer of the skirt. The tulle included hand-crafted flowers and vines made with lace (that we swear they pulled straight from a fairytale book cover). The majestic look was completed with Tiffany and Co. jewelry.

Erivo shared the look to her Instagram, using a quote from her designer: " 'I want people to see the dress but focus on the woman.' - Vera Wang @verawang gown @tiffanyandco down."

Wang commented on Erivo's post, saying: "When I think of a modern multi talented artist, Cynthia comes to mind..... Thank you for all our collaborations and particularly, JASON BOLDEN and his support ! XXV."

Wang posted behind-the-scenes photos of the dress-making process, writing: "Inside-the-atelier: Crafting #CynthiaErivo’s custom #VeraWang grown."

Erivo, who has already won an Emmy, Tony and Grammy award, is close to becoming the youngest EGOT winner ever. She is set to star as Aretha Franklin in the third season of the TV series Genius, which will be premiering March 21.

Let's hope the nominations keep coming, so we can be gifted with more red carpet sensations.
