As a loyal customer myself, I enjoy sticking to the retailers and brands I know, but I also love expanding my horizons and trying new pieces—especially those that are popular across the pond. Over the past few months, I’ve explored some of the most popular stores and brands that fashionable Londoners frequent.

The best part? Many of these brands are available to shop in the U.S. through retailers like Shopbop, Urban Outfitters, Anthropologie and Nordstrom, while others offer international shipping to the U.S. for a small fee. So, if you're curious about English fashion, keep reading to discover seven stylish British brands that every fashionable Londoner loves. Whether you're looking for a twist on workwear you'll want to wear after hours or classic countryside staples like the Barbour coat, there's something for everyone.

1. Odd Muse

Odd Muse

This buzzworthy brand has been gaining significant attention in recent years, most recently with the opening of a flagship store in New York’s Soho neighborhood. It all began with Odd Muse London’s iconic Muse dress—a perfectly structured silhouette with clean lines and an elegant fit that accentuates the body, placing the brand firmly on the map. As a dedicated fan, I also appreciate how they’ve mastered the art of reimagining the 9-to-5 look, effortlessly blending polished professionalism with stylish, fashion-forward designs. Each piece (blazers, skirts, trousers, etc.) is meticulously crafted to offer a modern, sophisticated vibe—all at surprisingly accessible prices, ranging from $85 to $250. I had the pleasure of visiting their Covent Garden store in London, where I got to try on the pieces firsthand, admiring the luxurious quality and impeccable craftsmanship. They also offer a stunning collection of dresses and coordinated sets—perfect for any bride-to-be looking for something chic and unique for their special day.

2. Damson Madder

Damson Madder

Damson Madder is the London-based fashion brand that’s beloved by fashion editors and content creators alike. Hailing from Camden, this female-led brand is celebrated for its commitment to slow fashion, offering thoughtfully curated collections with just 15 to 35 styles per drop. Expect to find unique pieces like bib blouses, versatile multi-way designs, tie details, exaggerated collars and bold, eccentric prints. If you're looking to add a fun twist to your wardrobe or experiment with maximalist fashion, Damson Madder is the perfect fit. Just be prepared for the pieces to sell out quickly—each style is made in limited quantities, so they tend to fly off the shelves as soon as they're released.

3. Barbour

Barbour

Barbour is the heart and soul of the English countryside. Long before the fisherman aesthetic became popular or a ‘trend,’ there was Barbour—a five-generation, family-owned brand founded in 1894. Renowned for its iconic wax jackets and rain boots, Barbour embodies the values of the British countryside with functional, durable designs that are as detailed as they are beautiful. The brand has been a favorite of the royal family, worn by figures like Kate Middleton, Princess Diana and Queen Elizabeth II. Their prices range from about $70 to $1,000, depending on the item and style, with sizes available from US 4 to 14. Barbour also offers men’s apparel and accessories, including travel bags.

4. DeMellier London

DeMellier

When it comes to accessories, DeMellier is the go-to brand for luxurious handbags. Although their bags are on the pricey side, with most averaging around $600, the exceptional craftsmanship and high-quality leather make them a worthwhile investment. Not only is DeMellier a favorite of Kate Middleton, but it has also been worn by Queen Camilla. While many of their new releases feature trendy details, like buckle accents, each handbag maintains a timeless quality that sets it apart.

5. ME+EM

ME+EM

For a touch of polish, turn to ME+EM, a UK fashion brand disrupting the market. Founded on the idea of flattering, functional and wear-forever designs, ME+EM is simply one of the most sophisticated options out there for sharp and intelligent dressing. One thing I’ve observed while living in London is that British women know how to dress impeccably well, and the secret lies in brands like ME+EM where you can find gems in delicate floral patterns, wedding guest dresses, staple denim, lady jackets, vacation staples and so much more.

6. House of Sunny

House of Sunny

Born out of Hackney, London, House of Sunny is the place to shop if you want to add English spunk into your wardrobe. I’ve been a fan of the brand’s cool, street style pieces for a while now, especially keen on their innovative denim styles that always break away from the traditional. The clothing, which can range in price anywhere from $90 to $180, is always full of personality, bold prints and vibrant colors, with some of their most popular pieces, like their knits, incorporating tennis drawings or etching of dogs as part of their For the Love of Dog capsule campaign.

7. Aligne

Aligne

If you want to master the art of tailoring, Aligne is the brand to turn to. With a style that marries structured basics and trendy pieces, Aligne reminds me of stores like Aritzia, Tuckernuck, and & Other Stories. I can always tell when a collection is designed by a woman, and I truly appreciate the strong, contemporary pieces that flatter the female form. Almost every stylish Brit I follow on Instagram owns an Aligne vest or blazer—both of which are at the top of my wishlist. However, I’ve been most excited about their recently launched bridal collection. As for pricing, most items average around $170. While it’s on the pricier side, these pieces are built to last and will remain staples in your capsule wardrobe for years to come.
