If you’re a bona fide Sex and the City fan, you’ve definitely been waiting with bated breath for the And Just Like That reboot to hit the small screen this year. But with glimpses here and there of our favorite cast members shooting in NYC, it makes sense that we’re taking notice of something else too…what they’re wearing! From heartwarming nods to famous outfits of yore to Carrie’s markedly more mature fashion choices, we’re just as invested in SATC style as ever. So, in the spirit of dissecting their best do’s and don’ts, we couldn’t help but wonder what we would and would not try from the latest installment.

Love: Carrie's Ombre Maxi Dress
There’s so much to say about this style moment, courtesy of costume designer (and Patricia Field’s protégé) Molly Rogers. It truly reminds us of the glory days of SATC, complete with a statement dress and quirky accessories (looking at you straw hat and scarf combo). First of all, it’s so Carrie. (She was always known for conversation-worthy pieces.) Second of all, it’s so chic. And finally, it’s so on trend. (We’re seeing gradient prints everywhere this season.) In short, it’s exactly what we imagine our favorite leading lady would be rocking at this stage of her life. The exposed, cowl back, ombre hue and easy, clingy fit is all that we could have hoped for sartorially. We want in.
Get the look: Shopbop ($550), Saks Fifth Avenue ($498), Selfridges & Co ($71)
Love: Carrie's Hot Pink Tiered Frock
This bright pink frock paired with an edgy studded belt and black pumps may not be the most groundbreaking look Carrie has ever sashayed in on the streets of NYC. But there’s something to be said for the simplicity, which shows she's grown up from slinky, form fitting "naked" dresses while still proving a fan of bold hues and billowing silhouettes.
Get the look: Banana Republic ($349), & Other Stories ($129), Net-A-Porter ($299)
Love: Miranda's Impeccably Tailored Jumpsuit
Oh Miranda, known for your iconic zip-up hoodie topped with a bucket hat (#neverforget) and crisp suits. Major kudos for this deep merlot hue and perfectly tailored cut. We have no idea what event she’s attending (a women’s empowerment summit? Brady’s wedding?) but we do know the sexy silhouette, short, flirty haircut, edgy belt and platform heels are a winning combo.
Get the look: Saks Fifth Avenue ($445), Revolve ($168), Nordstrom ($258)
Skip: Carrie's Breton-ballerina Vibe
Now, this reboot simply wouldn’t be complete without a nod to Carrie’s famous tutus, but something about this more “grown up” version just doesn’t feel right. It could be the slouchy striped top in lieu of a form-fitting leotard or maybe the fact that she seems to have a bathing suit falling out of her ratty tote bag, but something about this look screams playing dress-up in your mom’s closet.
Skip: Carrie's Preppy Yet Glam Mashup
This gives us glam Ralph Lauren vibes and it’s definitely a very Carrie situation. (And the unmissable flower brooch is another nod to SATC history.) Still, this silhouette would be tough to pull off for most women—jacket too big and you look like child, pants and pin too big and you look like a circus clown. Bottom line: we’re going to leave it to the one and only to carry this one.
