One thing about me: I’m obsessed with French style, and family-owned French fashion brand Longchamp is an iconic label that I consider an essential in building out your French capsule wardrobe. Turns out, I’m not the only one who feels this way. Meghan Markle and Kate Middleton are both long-time lovers of the brand’s unique and well-constructed handbags. The royals have worn the signature Longchamp Le Pilage totes on many occasions in the early aughts and beyond—a testament to the brand’s timelessness and long-lasting quality. From versatile and sporty styles that embrace practicality to feminine accessories with a touch of sparkle and elegance, here are ten of the best Longchamp bags to invest in, all inspired by the royals of course.

Let’s face it, the nylon Longchamp tote bag is a classic, and I’m not talking just amongst royals (though it’s obvious both Markle and Middleton can agree on that). The minimalist silhouette is designed with a large, spacious interior big enough to hold a laptop and more personal belongings, so if you’re in need of a new work tote, then look no further. The handles are long enough to toss on your shoulder in a rush, plus there’s a zipper closure that’ll keep your goodies safe. Oh, and did I mention that this design can actually fold down into the size of a paperback book, too?

Longchamp’s Le Pliage leather vanity case is giving me major Loro Piana vibes, but for a fraction of the cost. The chic accessory features a top handle as well as a removable shoulder strap, so you can wear it multiple ways. It makes a great going out bag, too, since the small silhouette can fit your most necessary items, such as your phone, wallet card and lipstick (of course).

  • Dimensions: 6.3” x 3.9” x 4.3”
  • Material: cowhide leather, polyamide, polyester, recycled jacquard

Longchamp’s Le Pliage cosmetics case gives you the same classic look of the large tote but in a \ mini version that’s practical and cute. It’s made with the same durable and water-resistant nylon fabric, and even has the iconic leather trim details throughout. It’s only right you pay homage to Meghan Markle when you wear it and stuff it with some of her favorite beauty products.

Behold: the chicest bucket bag I ever did see. It’s made from a luxuriously supple cowhide leather and features a bamboo clasp that doubles as an accessory to your accessory, if you will. The interior is home to three pockets and two credit card slots to organize your essentials, plus it can hold your latest read and 13-inch laptop.

Bowling bags really took off this season, so obviously I must include the iconic Daylong style in my list of Longchamp styles to shop. From its elegant, rounded lines to its functional design (hello, crossbody straps and top handle), it’s impossible not to fall head over heels for this modern accessory.

  • Dimensions: 8.7” x 4.3” x 3.1”
  • Material: calfskin leather, recycled polyester

Have you heard the saying less is more? Well, this crossbody bag embodies that idea. Inspired by the practical design of a gardener’s apron, this small handbag is meant to sit against your person and provide easy access to your everyday belongings. What’s more, the double shoulder strap can be removed, so you can carry it like clutch for a special occasion.

  • Dimensions: 7.9” x 7.9” x 1.4”
  • Material: cowhide leather, recycled polyester

East-West handbags are all any fashionista can talk about right now, and this sleek style is certainly no exception. It’s finished with the same luxurious leather that the Le Roseau collection is known for, as well as embellished with the signature bamboo clasps for a touch of femininity. Sparkle and glamour aside, I appreciate how practical it is, opening wide to a surprisingly spacious interior. (And the crossbody straps are a nice touch, too.)

  • Material: cowhide leather, recycled polyester, metal bamboo

I know we’re all obsessed with the practicality and ease of lululemon bags, but if royals were to don a small crossbody bag to wear while running errands, I imagine it’d look something like this piece from the Le Pliage collection. The mini bag has a contemporary silhouette but classic features, which is the key to recreating royal style.

Elegant and refined, this leather Le Roseau handbag is practical to use every day and gorgeous for special occasions, too. You’ll get a removable shoulder strap with purchase, so you don’t just have to carry it by the small top handle. It’s also available in more colorways, including bright and vibrant shades for a pop of color as well as classic neutrals for the minimalist at heart.

For a traditional look, try this flap closure handbag. It comes in three shades, but I’m loving this eggplant colorway in the wake of the burgundy craze. My favorite detail is its wide, sporty strap, which reminds me of a few timeless pieces from my mom’s handbag collection that I now consider ‘vintage.’ (Sorry, mom.)
