Psst, I’ve got a little fashion secret to share. Did you know that LOFT is one of the absolute best places to find both cozy winter staples and chic party looks? That’s right, the old-school standby is one of my favorite places to shop for everything from classic outerwear to going-out tops to knitwear for any and all tastes. They even have the softest sweatpants you’ve ever worn—seriously, nothing has ever topped the Lou & Grey Signaturesoft styles, in my book. Even better, the entire LOFT site is currently 50 percent off, with an additional 15 percent off, with code MERRY, so you can revamp your entire winter wardrobe while saving big. That’s what we call a true win-win situation, folks. Read on for 16 of my top picks to add to your wardrobe right this very minute...before everyone else catches on.

Bow detailing is one of the hottest trends this holiday season, but I’m here to tell you the hype will continue well into 2025, too. This adorable cardigan is made of 100 percent cotton and has three contrasting tulle bows down the front, as well as hidden snaps for a more seamless look. Just know, reviewers do suggest it runs big, so you may want to go down one size from your usual.

Throwback bootcut jeans are my favorite silhouette for winter because they work so well with just about any shoe style. This pair has the added benefit of a classic dark wash and a 12-inch rise with a wide waistband. It also comes in peite lengths, so shorter gals don’t have to stress about finding time to visit the tailor.

The best winter coats are ones that combine timeless details with trendier ones, and this wool topper checks both boxes and then some. It’s designed to hit at mid-calf (and, yes, it comes in petite sizes), and is machine washable for easy care. And that curved hem? Such a fun finishing touch!

I love a good off-the-shoulder top for cocktail parties and fun dinners. This one, available in both regular and petite sizes, has fabulous draping along the bodice and a notch at the hem for some added interest. The material also has just enough stretch to allow for better, more comfortable arm movement so you won’t feel totally restricted.

There is no limit to the praise I could heap on Lou & Grey Signaturesoft sweats. The material is seriously one of the softest things I’ve ever worn and is an ideal mix of cozy and lightweight, so I never feel overheated. The joggers, in particular, feel like a dream and hug my curves without clinging to them. And the smooth finish gives these sweats an elevated look, so I can wear them to the airport or while traveling without feeling like a schlub.

‘Tis the season for all things plaid, so why no complement your scarves and skirts with a plaid bag as well? This bucket crossbody has an adjustable strap and inner slot pocket for your phone. And because the print is made up of all neutral hues, it’s sure to go with tons of pieces you already own.

Faux-leather pants are a must-have, in my opinion, for any chic winter capsule wardrobe, and this pair is about as classic as it gets. The straight-leg silhouette and ankle length (28-inch inseam for regular sizes, and 25.5 for petites) will never go out of style. Plus, the elastic waistband helps create a seamless look that’s also supremely comfortable. And zippered pockets are incredibly handy for safely tucking away your phone or keys.

This cozy knit, also available in silver, is giving major tinsel vibes to ring in the holiday in style. It has just enough sparkle to feel festive without looking oddly out of place for day, and can be dressed up with a sequin skirt or down with lightwash jeans. All for under $35.

This flounced mini has all the boho charm of a Farm Rio dress for a fraction of the cost, especially right now while it’s 50 percent off. I adore the contrasting ribbon hem, although the material has very little stretch so if you are between sizes, you may want to opt for the larger of the two.

Live out your Emily in Paris dreams with this super-cozy shearling coat. It has a contrasting twill trim along the front, waist, cuffs and collar, and the front closes with a series of large buttons that are easy to use even while wearing gloves. It reportedly fits true to size, but also comes in petite sizes if you’re worried about the length.

Millennials and Gen X will remember the Y2K velour tracksuit craze well, but this pullover is not the Juicy zip-ups of yesteryear. The ballooon sleeves and mock neck make this casual fabric feel oh-so elevated, as does that delicate green hue. It also comes in silver gray, navy blue and off-white, all of which are available in petite and regular sizes.

Sequins are gearing up to be a major trend in 2025, and not just for special occasions. That said, metallics are not always the easiest to make work for casual afternoons, which is why I can}t wait to add this burgundy midi to my wardrobe. The trendy hue feels less flashy than black or silver, and goes particularly well with blue-wash denim (like a chambray shirt or denim jacket). Just know, this skirt runs small, so I recommend going up one from your usual size when you order.

Sporty meets kitchy with this dainty floral-print puffer vest. Reviewers say it runs large, but if you plan to layer it over chunky knits or even another jacket, you may want to stick with your usual size. And because it has a synthetic insulation, this vest is machine washable, too!

Can you ever have too many winter scarves? Probably, but that won’t stop me from adding this beauty to my shopping cart anyway. The super-soft polyester fabric is warm and lightweight, and the scarf measures 16 inches by 83 inches, giving you lots of length to play around with.

LOFT is lowkey a great place to find expensive looking jewelry on a budget. Take, for example, these two-tone earrings, which are currently under $15. Silver is steadily rising in popularity, but I’m not quite ready to let go of my usual gold standbys—this earring set allows me to do both, making it easy to mix metals like a pro.

Why limit your winter shopping to just the humans in your life? This is one of five incredibly cute doggy sweaters, all of which comes in sizes XS to XL, so any and all breeds can get in on the fun. And, yes, it’s machine washable, so even if Fido gets into some dirty snow you won’t have to stress over his favorite sweater getting ruined.
