‘Queen’s Gambit’ Star Anya Taylor-Joy Stunned in Yellow Dior Gown (Which She Helped Design Herself)

At the 73rd Emmy Awards, Netflix's The Queen's Gambit ended up taking home one of the biggest awards of the night when it won for Outstanding Limited Or Anthology Series. While the show's star, Anya Taylor-Joy, may have lost in her category, she has been consistently bringing iconic fashion to every award show she attends, and the 2021 Emmys were no exception.

On Sunday, Taylor-Joy showed up in a custom-made Dior gown that she actually helped to design herself. She posted pics of the gown on her Instagram and said, “A huge THANK YOU to @mariagraziachiuri and the house of @dior @diorbeauty for making my dream dress come true! I am beyond proud to see a design of mine brought so beautifully to life by the exquisite craftsmanship of the house and the styling of my day 1 ride or die @paulburgo …. My favourite dress I’ve worn and an evening I will never forget. THANK YOU!”

The pale yellow silk gown was paired with a large, mustard yellow opera coat and Tiffany jewelry, and it was easily one of the most stunning ensembles of the evening.

However, just like at the Golden Globes, Taylor-Joy decided to pull out a second surprise look for the Emmys after-party. This ensemble, which was also designed by the Dior team, was featured in a post on the Fashion Bomb Daily Instagram account.

For the second go-around, Taylor-Joy looked just as radiant in a silk lingerie set that was a similar pale yellow color to her previous look. However, this monochromatic ensemble featured a lacy bralette and shorts with a silk cape and heels to match.

We would be remiss not to mention the actress's glam from the evening as well, which included manicured nails painted with chess piece symbols.

You never fail to amaze us, Anya.
