Having spent several years as a retail associate at Anthropologie myself, I feel totally confident saying that fall is the absolute *best* time to shop the brand's chic styles. You'll easily find yourself adding tons of pieces to your cart, with your only problem being which to choose for your permanent wardrobe. Whether you're on the hunt for a cozy sweater, a go-to pair of jeans or a stunning dress, you can find both classic and trendy pieces at Anthro that will take you all the way through cozy season into the holidays. Below, find 17 of my favorite fall finds to shop now.

I can't resist the preppy, Rory-at-Yale vibes of this sweater dress for the season (and, yes, I've been rewatching Gilmore Girls yet again to get in the fall mood). It's made from 100 percent cotton, which I love because it keeps it breathable even during warmer days and, having tried it myself, it has a nice relaxed fit that doesn't feel too loose or too tight, though if you're in between sizes, I'd suggest sizing down.

This sleek shoulder bag also made it to the top of my must-haves list for its totally timeless look and adjustable straps. It's thoughtfully designed with details like an adjustable strap, gold clasp closure and front slip pocket—not to mention the style looks like something Carrie Bradshaw would don for a day of shoe shopping (so obviously, I'm sold).

PureWow Commerce Editor Olivia Dubyak sold me on the trendy barrel-leg jeans that I've been seeing *everywhere* lately, so naturally I've got my eye on this similar pair that you can snag for less than $150. They have a mid-rise fit and button fly for some retro style, and come in both standard and tall lengths. Plus, there's a touch of elastane added to give them some stretch.

This plaid mini is one of the top-selling styles of Anthropologie's fall collection so far this year, according to the brand, and I can definitely see why. Besides being totally on-trend with a vest cut and burnished gold buttons that feel like the epitome of quiet luxury, it's also practical—it features a sleeveless cut that will keep you cool on warm transitional days, but will also look fab with a chunky cardigan worn over top later. (Psst: If the layering staple's missing from your closet, opt for one like this, $88)

Peplum is back in a big way, but I personally adore this layered lace-and-knit version of the style, which gives it a more laid-back look that will work season after season. Its easy pullover style means you can throw it on and go with your favorite jeans for an effortlessly put-together look (that will look totally cute in all your pumpkin patch pics).

I can confirm that the editor-loved Colette pants, which come in tons of different colors and fabrics thanks to their popularity, live up to the hype. They're not only comfortable, but also super versatile, and this faux leather pair is the perfect pick for the season. The cropped length is an especially good fit if you're on the shorter side like me, and for taller gals they'll look just as nice paired with fitted boots or trendy flats.

I spotted this stylish swing jacket in my local Anthropologie store recently and I haven't been able to get it off my mind since. The 100 percent cotton has a denim-like feel that keeps it casual for everyday wear, so I know I'd get more than my fair share of use out of it. If it's on your wardrobe wish list, too, just note that while reviewers rave over its style, they also mention it runs big. One shopper shared: "High marks for style, but definitely size down. Still oversized, but will be a fun transition piece when looking for an alternate to a trench," so keep that in mind when you order yours.

Meet the ultimate layering piece. This mock-neck tank is stylish enough to wear on its own, but can easily be worn underneath a blazer during the workday or a denim jacket on the weekends thanks to its fitted cut. According to shoppers, the cotton/elastane blend is both flattering and comfortable—and did I mention it's less than $50? Yeah, you'll want to add more than one of the many colors it comes in to your cart.

If you're ready for an update to the classic ballet flats that have been trending the past few seasons, I suggest scooping up this buckled pair before they inevitably sell out. They're made of smooth leather and come in three neutral shades—though I'm partial to these brown ones that look so much more expensive than they are.

This top-rated cashmere sweater has earned *hundreds* of 5-star reviews from buyers. One reviewer writes, "I think I now have seven colors of this sweater. [It] seems to go with most fabrics and styles of skirts, pants and jeans. It's a lightweight cashmere which is perfect! Certainly my go-to sweater." So, really, it's no wonder the brand keeps bringing it back in new, on-trend colors and patterns year after year.

Another fast-selling early fall style, per the brand, this bow-adorned midi is one you'll want to grab sooner rather than later. I also spotted this one in-store on my recent shopping trip and I love that the bow is a soft, silky material, while the body of the dress is more structured, so it feels like an effortless mix between dressy and casual. Plus, buyers call out that its barrel shape gives it a high-end look. Well, I'm sold.

Sage greens have been popping up all over my Instagram feed and at my favorite stores lately, so it's safe to say we're only going to see more of this color the closer we get to fall. I especially love the hue on this cute cardigan that has a ruffle-trimmed collar that makes it feel special enough to wear on its own as a top. If do you want to layer it, the buttons are functional so you can easily add a tank underneath and leave it open.

Available in standard, petite and plus sizes, this curve-hugging pencil dress is a totally unique (and super chic, IMO) take on the denim dress trend that will stand out whether you wear it to the office or cider tasting on the weekend. It's designed with a front zipper and snaps, so it should be easy to get in and out of, and the denim has some stretch to it, too. Shoppers are loving the sophisticated high-neck style, as one called it a "must have" for the season. I have to agree.

Leopard's back, baby. Not that the pattern ever really goes out of style, but expect to see much more of it than usual this year. This blouse is the perfect way to experiment with animal print if it isn't in your usual rotation, since you can layer it under a jacket or sweater to show just a pop of it peeking out. Plus, it'll pair nicely with jeans or trousers when you inevitably fall in love with it and want to wear it both to work and on the weekends.

The metallic trend still isn't slowing down, so it's the perfect time to pick up a pair of silver sneakers à la Reese Witherspoon, like these from Gola. I especially love that they have gold detailing, too, so they'll go with any other daily accessories you wear, and they're totally comfy and fit true to size, per buyers. One reviewer wrote: "I wanted some metallic sneakers but nothing too shiny...I also didn’t want to commit to silver or gold, so these bad boys fit the bill! They’re comfortable and true to size based on the brand’s measurement guide—love the distressed metallic look." Sounds like the perfect pair.

16. By Anthropologie Knit Shacket

By Anthropologie

Yet another piece that's made it to my personal wish list, this 100 percent cotton shacket has an ultra-soft feel to it that I can guarantee will make you want to wear it every day. Buyers suggest sizing down since it has an oversized cut, though it really depends on how you'd prefer it to fit, and if you want room for extra layers underneath.

This skirt is a total standout that will surely earn you tons of compliments whenever you wear it. The faux leather detailing adds a bit of edginess while also creating the drop-waist silhouette that's so popular right now. The pleating adds tons of volume, too, and shoppers are swooning over its unique, surprisingly versatile design. One shares, "Went out of my comfort zone and fell in love. Absolutely love that you can dress it up or down." I'd say this is one style worth taking a chance on.
