Remember the Amazon coat? It was the super comfortable and ultra flattering puffer seen on every street corner a few winters ago. (Your bestie had one in black, your colleague one in grey and you eventually succumbed to buy one in navy.) And now, we’re predicting that the summer version of the popular item is here and yes, we want all the colors. Introducing the Yidarton slit maxi dress.
I first starting hunting for an easy-breezy summer dress a couple of weeks ago. Temperatures were climbing and my quarantine uniform of sweatpants and a T-shirt just wasn't cutting it anymore. I had a few shapeless frocks hanging in the back of my closet but was longing for something that made me feel like a person who had places to go, people to see and things to do. (Even if I actually had none of those things.) That’s when I came across the dress.
While scouring Amazon, this jersey, midi dress with capped sleeves looked stylish yet comfortable and the price was so good ($28), that I decided to order the black version on a whim. And when it arrived (thank you, two-day delivery), I was pleasantly surprised by just how soft and flattering the dress was.
It’s light and airy but high quality enough that it doesn't slouch in the wrong places or feel cheap. I don’t have to worry about cleavage or what bra to wear (which I always find can be an issue with other summer dresses) since it’s full coverage up top and yet the slit says “oh hello, summer.” The belt gives it structure and it comes in an array of 24 different colors. In fact, I love this dress so much that I bought another one in army green. And when my friend saw me in it, she demanded that I send her the link and bought one for herself (in a very flattering burgundy).
