Every March, the Academy Awards come around. Some of us are there for the films. (And this year's Best Picture category is stacked.) Let's be honest, though. A lot of us are also there for the fashion (and the mishaps). In keeping with one of the year's biggest trends, America Ferrera, Emily Blunt and Gabrielle Union all walked the red carpet in metallics.
Ferrera arrived paying homage to her film, Barbie, in a fuchsia chainmail dress designed by Atelier Versace. According to ABC hosts, the dress took over 400 hours to create. The actress paired her dress with jewelry from Pomellato. The Ode to Milan Castello necklace and ring, in addition to diamonds, featured rubellites and rhodolite garnet, respectively. According to Ferrera's stylist, Karla Welch, the nominee saved the best for last. This is the first time Ferrera has sported pink on the red carpet this awards season.
