In the video, a mom explained how she was guilt-tripped into finding an alternative method for her young son to tie his shoes. The pressure began when his school sent a passive aggressive email reminding parents that students should know how to tie their shoes.
“It’s not that we haven’t been trying,” she said. “We try every night, and it usually ends up in tears from me or him.”
She admitted that most kids can master the first step, which involves crossing the strings and making an “X.” However, the next step—creating a loop on each side—is where the confusion sets in.
The mom found a handy way to irradicate this problem. (And no, it doesn’t involve resorting to Velcro.) Watch the video above for the mind-blowing demonstration.
