We're not saying we'd relocate to a new city just to take advantage of their affordable babysitting rates, but if a few other variables lined up (say, the perfect house and job), we'd definitely consider it.
After all, the cost to hire a sitter per hour can be steep. So, when UrbanSitter polled 28,000 families across the U.S. to find out the range of babysitting rates from city to city in 2019, we were curious: Which place is the most affordable?
Drumroll, please. As it turns out, Las Vegas is the major U.S. city with the most budget-friendly babysitting. The cost? For one kid, the going rate is $11.63 per hour. For two kids, it's just $14.71.
That's in comparison to cities like San Francisco, where it'll run you a whopping $21.30 per hour to go out for the evening.
