Great News, 'Yellowstone' Fans! The Dutton Family Is Heading to CBS This Fall

Saddle up, Yellowstone enthusiasts, because the Dutton family is coming to CBS.

After airing exclusively for years on Paramount Network, the hit Western drama is making its broadcast television debut this fall, with former episodes airing each Sunday at 9 p.m. EST. Although CBS has yet to confirm the premiere date, we do know the network will start with season one.

In case you need a refresher, Yellowstone follows the exploits of John Dutton and his family, who own the largest cattle ranch in Montana. Throughout the series, they fight to protect their property while dealing with family drama and ongoing attacks from those on the land's borders.

The show, which is also available to stream on Peacock, is currently in its fifth and final season. And not surprisingly, the season premiere broke a major streaming record with 12.1 million viewers, making it the biggest premiere yet.

The first eight episodes were released in November 2022, and the final six are scheduled to premiere in late 2023. However, it's worth noting there have been some production delays amid previous reports of Kevin Costner's exit, according to People magazine.

The addition of Yellowstone to CBS's primetime programming schedule comes as a result of the ongoing SAG-AFTRA and Writers Guild of America strikes, which have affected the production of several shows and movies. If you recall, CBS originally released the fall schedule in May, with the intention of continuing most of its scripted programming. But that line-up has since been revised to include acquired programming and unscripted shows, including Blue Bloods, Big Brother and The Challenge USA.

We'll keep our eyes peeled for those reruns of Yellowstone.
