If you’re anything like us, then you’re probably already preparing your streaming schedule for April 2023. Whether you’re looking for a feel-good movie or an edge-of-your-seat thriller, there are countless options for viewers of all ages. In addition to new releases—like The Last Thing He Told Me—there are also multiple shows that are returning for new seasons, including The Afterparty, Firefly Lane and Barry.

1. Schmigadoon!

  • Premiere date: April 5

The star-studded Apple TV+ musical series (featuring names like Keegan-Michael Key, Cecily Strong and Fred Armisen) returns for season 2 on April 5. Get amped for more elaborate performances, cheeky jokes and Broadway musical references.

2. Beef

  • Premiere date: April 6

We've heard of road rage, but what happens when two people let a slight mishap lead to an intense rivalry? That's the plot at the center of Beef, the new A24-produced series starring Steven Yeun and Ali Wong, which PureWow's own Nakeisha Campbell called a must-watch.

3. Grease: Rise of the Pink Ladies

  • Premiere date: April 6

Grease (1978) may have focused on the romantic couple at its center, but in the new Paramount+ musical series, Grease: Rise of the Pink Ladies, we learn the story of the popular girl gang, The Pink Ladies, and how exactly they came to be some of the most revered (and feared) figures at Rydell High.

4. The Last Thing He Told Me

  • Premiere date: April 14

When Hannah (Jennifer Garner) realizes that her husband has disappeared in the midst of an embezzlement investigation, she forges an unexpected relationship with her stepdaughter, Bailey (Angourie Rice). Reese Witherspoon produced this upcoming Apple TV+ miniseries, which is based on Laura Dave's bestselling novel of the same name.

5. Barry

  • Premiere date: April 16

In this HBO dark comedy, Bill Hader stars as Barry Berkman, a hitman whose career takes a surprising turn when he joins an acting class and ends up loving it. The fourth and final season of the Emmy-winning series begins on April 16.

6. Indian Matchmaking

  • Premiere date: April 21

The popular Netflix reality series returns for its third season on April 21. Get ready for more matches, weddings and some undeniably awkward dates.

7. Somebody Somewhere

  • Premiere date: April 23

In Somebody Somewhere, Sam (Bridget Everett) is dealing with the loss of her sister and trying to fit in within the town of Manhattan, Kansas. However, through her crisis, she finds a ragtag group of friends who help her to grow. Season 2 premieres on April 23.

8. Firefly Lane

  • Premiere date: April 27

Kristin Hannah's novel Firefly Lane was adapted into this Netflix series of the same name, starring Katherine Heigl and Sarah Chalke as two best friends who endure the ups and downs of life together. The second and final season was split into two parts, with the latter half premiering on April 27.

9. The Afterparty

  • Premiere date: April 28

In the vein of Knives Out, the Apple TV+ original series The Afterparty is a comedic murder mystery about a group of people each telling their side of the story when someone gets murdered at their high school reunion. Expect more twists and more A-list actors when season 2 premieres on April 28.

10. Peter Pan & Wendy

  • Premiere date: April 28

The latest Disney classic to get the live-action treatment, Peter Pan & Wendy follows the first encounter between Wendy Darling and Peter Pan. When Peter takes Wendy to the magical world of Neverland, she faces the fearsome Captain Hook and embarks on an adventure she'll never forget.
