This Intense Tom Holland Flick Is Already #1 on Netflix After Only a Few Days on the Platform

It’s only been a few days since the action-adventure flick Uncharted (you know, the film starring Tom Holland and Mark Wahlberg) debuted on Netflix. And just like how it dominated the box office earlier this year, it’s now completely taken over the streaming platform, landing at the number one spot on the top ten most-watched list.

Based on the video game franchise of the same name, Uncharted follows a street-smart treasure hunter named Nathan Drake (Holland), who gets recruited by a treasure hunting veteran named Victor Sullivan aka “Sully” (Wahlberg).

The duo embarks on a dangerous adventure to find the large fortune that originally belonged to Ferdinand Magellan, which was lost by the House of Moncada around 500 years ago.

Originally, the movie was supposed to be released in December 2020. But, due to the coronavirus pandemic, Uncharted experienced major delays, and the release date was ultimately pushed back. Eventually, the movie premiered in theaters across America on February 18, 2022.

Though the film received mixed reviews, it performed well at the box office—grossing $401.7 million worldwide, becoming the fifth-highest-grossing video game film and the tenth-highest-grossing film of 2022.

Alongside Holland and Wahlberg, the cast includes names like Sophia Ali (Faking it), Tati Gabrielle (You), Antonio Banderas (Desperado), Rudy Pankow (Outer Banks) and Nolan North (Port Charles).

This calls for a Netflix and chill night. Who’s joining us?
