Travis Kelce may be a tight end for the Kansas City Chiefs, but he’s also a podcast host, a soon-to-be game show host and now…a leading actor?!

According to Deadline, the 34-year-old athlete has landed his first major acting job and will appear alongside Niecy Nash-Betts, Courtney B. Vance and Lesley Manville in Ryan Murphy's new horror series, Grotesquerie. I wouldn’t exactly call this the most surprising news as Murphy tends to cast those who are currently in the public eye (Lady Gaga, Kim Kardashian) including famous athletes (Gus Kenworthy).

While I don’t have any additional details as to what role the football player will play in the upcoming series, Kelce will make a starring appearance in the FX show—which is scheduled to premiere this coming fall.

FYI, Grotesquerie will serve as Kelce’s second acting project, with the first being the host of NBC’s Saturday Night Live back in March 2023. In addition, the athlete made a brief cameo with his girlfriend, Taylor Swift, in an episode of the late-night sketch show last fall.

As I mentioned earlier, this news comes a few weeks after Kelce was confirmed to host the new Prime Video game show, Are You Smarter Than A Celebrity?. Also exclusively reported by Deadline, the tight end is set to host a spinoff of the popular 2007 game show, Are You Smarter Than A 5th Grader?

In honor of the announcement, Kelce released an official statement that read, “I grew up loving game shows, and I’m excited to be following in the footsteps of so many TV icons by hosting my very first one with Are you Smarter Than A Celebrity?.”

He continued, “The original show is a great success, so [to be] bringing a new format with everyone’s favorite celebrities to the screen will definitely be entertaining. I’m just happy to be on the hosting side of the equation here and excited to see how these famous faces keep up.”

Prime Video has ordered a whopping 20 episodes for the first season of Are You Smarter Than A Celebrity?, which features contestants attempting to answer a series of questions (with the help of Hollywood celebrities) to win a grand prize of $100,000.

Talk about being booked and busy.
