Who Will Win ‘The Traitors’ Season 3? Plus, More Predictions About the Exciting New Installment

Kate can’t come back a third time…can she?

As an entertainment editor who covers the latest and greatest of television, I was thrilled (though I can’t say surprised) to see that The Traitors would be returning for season three.

And while Traitors season two was a wild ride (trust, I had plenty of thoughts on the sophomore season), I can only imagine season three will be even more entertaining. With a cast that includes the most dramatic names in reality TV (Tom Sandoval and Dorinda Medley), the most headline-stealing names of 2024 (Sam Asghari) and an actual royal (Lord Ivar Mountbatten, aka Queen Elizabeth’s cousin), we are in for a bonkers, murder-filled time.

So, what can we expect in season three? Keep scrolling for my thoughts and predictions on everything from who will be picked as a Traitor to who will win the whole thing.

First, Who Is in ‘The Traitors’ Season Three?

Before we dive into my season three theories, a quick refresher on the new ‘Traitors’ season three cast.

Here’s who we’ve got:

  • Chrishell Stause from Selling Sunset
  • Wells Adams from The Bachelorette and Bachelor in Paradise
  • Tom Sandoval from Vanderpump Rules
  • Dorinda Medley from The Real Housewives of New York City
  • Britney Haynes from Big Brother
  • Danielle Reyes from Big Brother
  • Bob the Drag Queen from RuPaul’s Drag Race
  • Chanel Ayan from The Real Housewives of Dubai
  • Gabby Windey from The Bachelorette
  • Rob Mariano from Survivor
  • Tony Vlachos from Survivor
  • Carolyn Wiger from Survivor
  • Jeremy Collins from Survivor
  • Dolores Catania from The Real Housewives of New Jersey
  • Robin Dixon from The Real Housewives of Potomac
  • Bob Harper from The Biggest Loser
  • Ciara Miller from Summer House
  • Nikki Garcia, former professional wrestler
  • Sam Asghari, model, actor and ex-husband of Britney Spears
  • Dylan Efron, brother of Zac Efron
  • Lord Ivar Mountbatten, British royal and cousin of Queen Elizabeth

Now, without further ado, here are four predictions from this entertainment editor on what to expect from ‘The Traitors’ season three (remember—these are just theories…but I’m pretty sure I’m right).

1. Who Will Alan Cumming Choose as a Season Three Traitor?

Let me start by saying who I think Alan will definitively not choose as a Traitor for the new season: Sam Asghari. Asghari gives off Ryan Lochte (season one) and Bergie (season two) vibes. In other words, he’s someone I don’t think would make a good traitor, and I’m pretty sure Alan will recognize that. Plus, there are so many great options for Traitors in the mix, and Asghari would be a throwaway (who will likely be targeted quite early).

Following the great TV that was Phaedra in season two, we can expect one of the Housewives to be in the Traitor tower. My money is on Dorinda—she would be really fun television and I can already picture her in one of those Traitor robes.

In the number two Traitor spot, I predict we’ll see Bob the Drag Queen. Bob’s Drag Race sister, Peppermint, got the short end of the (peppermint) stick in season two as she got eliminated right away (courtesy of some verbal slip-ups and, well, Trishelle). Fans gave Trishelle and the show a lot of flak over the way Peppermint was treated, particularly as she was on the show representing the trans community. I think producers (and Alan) will give her Drag Race sister Bob the chance to make up for Peppermint’s mistreatment as a Traitor. Plus, I’ve personally watched Bob since they were a queen on the New York City gay bar scene—and they are the epitome of entertainment. Bob will surely know how to bring the drama.

The final spot is bound to go to one of the Survivor alums, who know how to navigate Team Traitor (just look at devious Parvati) extremely well. My guess would be Jeremy Collins. Having been on multiple Survivor seasons (and having won Survivor: Cambodia), Jeremy will automatically know how to manipulate both the Faithful and his fellow Traitors. And with a smile like that, he might just go unsuspected for a while…

2. Who Will Win ‘The Traitors’ Season Three?

That said, if Jeremy is chosen as a Traitor, he’ll have to watch his back. Based on how well Sandra and Parvati did in season two, I think the Traitors and the Faithfuls will be targeting and taking out the cast members from Survivor, aka Rob, Tony, Carolyn and Jeremy, pretty early on.

As for who will emerge victorious? Trishelle and CJ had each other’s backs at the end of the day in season two, helping them take home the prize. I think the winners of season three will similarly have a bond that will help them navigate murder and banishment from week to week. I could see Big Brother alums Danielle and Britney teaming up to make it all the way to the end, or perhaps Bachelor Nation’s Wells and Gabby will look out for one another long enough to score the win.

3. Will Kate Come Back Again?!

I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again, I love Kate on The Traitors. She’s great TV, she’s so funny and she actually provided us with a character arc, going from “over it” to “reformed” to “recruited Traitor.” Her return was one of many twists in season two. So, could she be back again in the new season?

I predict Kate will make an appearance, but not as a contestant. Something tells me a twist ending of one of the episodes will involve a helicopter landing and, instead of Alan stepping out, Kate emerging (likely to help introduce the next challenge).

But, hey, if they want to just bring back Kate as a contestant again, you certainly won’t hear me complaining.

4. Will There Be a ‘Traitors’ Season Four?

Obviously. In fact, Traitors producers would be stupid to not already have season four in the works. My prediction is that they’re already casting and will begin filming right as season three starts airing so that a new season won’t be too far off when season three’s ratings inevitably go through the roof.
