This Highly Underrated Shailene Woodley Flick Is the #1 Movie on Netflix

It just hit Netflix on February 19

Shailene Woodley got her start in TV shows like The Secret Life of the American Teenager and Big Little Lies, but she’s also appeared in several films (like The Fault in Our Stars). Although she’s widely recognized for the Divergent franchise, I think this 2023 flick starring Woodley is one of her most underrated projects to date.

To Catch a Killer originally premiered in 2023, and at the time, it garnered mostly positive reviews. Fast forward to February 19, 2024, when it was added to Netflix’s database. Within a matter of 24 hours, the film has already claimed the number one spot on the streaming service’s list of most-watched movies. (It’s currently ranked ahead of Trial By Fire, La Dolce Villa, Aftermath and Don't Let Go.)

To Catch a Killer takes place on New Year's Eve in Baltimore and focuses on a police officer, Eleanor Falco (Woodley), as she tries to track down a sniper that’s killing innocent partiers. When she finally locates the shooter, the building he’s in explodes, leaving her with zero leads. It doesn’t take long for the FBI to launch a manhunt that puts Eleanor’s investigative skills to the ultimate test.

In addition to Woodley, To Catch a Killer also stars Ben Mendelsohn (Bloodline), Jovan Adepo (His Three Daughters), Ralph Ineson (The Fantastic Four: First Steps) and Rosemary Dunsmore (After the Promise).

Looks like I have plans tonight.
