Have fans seen the last of Tanya McQuoid in The White Lotus universe? The show’s creator, Mike White, isn’t so sure.

Fans who eagerly tuned into The White Lotus season two finale witnessed (spoiler alert!) McQuoid, who is played by Jennifer Coolidge, meet an untimely fate. But viewers may yet see more of the richer-than-rich diva. (*fingers crossed*)

During a press conference event at the Vivid Sydney Festival on Saturday, June 10, White was asked if he would ever be open to creating a prequel series centered around McQuoid.

Per Entertainment Weekly, the writer and director said, “I absolutely think that’s possible. We were just talking about that. It’s a funny idea.”

White, who enjoys working with the Emmy Award winner, took it a step further and proposed a potential narrative for the spinoff series. When it comes to the storyline, he shared that he’s open to “making Jennifer 20 years younger.” Coolidge (sitting on the panel with the creator) already has a destination picked out: Australia.

Though Coolidge will not reprise her role in The White Lotus season three, there is one fan-favorite character returning for the future installment.

Back in April, Variety exclusively reported that actress Natasha Rothwell will reprise her role as Belinda Lindsey (who was first introduced in season one) in the upcoming season of The White Lotus.

Even though White didn’t reveal much about her character’s appearance, he previously teased that the third season will be “a satirical and funny look at death and Eastern religion and spirituality.”

Let’s make this happen.
