At the 20:48 mark above, Mutz explains what The Terminal List is about. “It’s based on a novel. And it’s about a Navy SEAL mission gone awry, and Chris Pratt is the only one to survive,” he says. “And then he comes home, and he’s battling very bad PTSD. And then it seems there are evil government forces at work to destroy him, for some reason.”
In addition to Pratt, the show also stars Taylor Kitsch (Friday Night Lights), Constance Wu (Crazy Rich Asians), Riley Keough (The Girlfriend Experience), Arlo Mertz (Lucy in the Sky) and Jeanne Tripplehorn (The Gilded Age). We’ll let you listen to the episode above to hear exactly why The Terminal List is a miss, but Mutz does say the backlash shouldn’t be ignored. While some feel the show pushes a dangerous narrative, others feel “woke” viewers are being too harsh.
In the new Stream On episode, the co-hosts also discuss the biggest entertainment news of the week, like Tom Hanks’s comments about Lightyear. They also share their hits, including Loot (starring Maya Rudolph) and Uncharted (starring Tom Holland and Mark Wahlberg). Plus, Gulmi explains why viewers should tune into the premiere of HBO Max’s Rehearsal on July 15.
