Last night, viewers eagerly tuned in to watch Goldfish and Gumball battle it out onstage in The Masked Singer season 11 finale, which aired on Fox. Though the final two contestants gave memorable performances, only one person could be crowned the winner and walk away with the Golden Mask trophy. So, who took home the winning title?

During the episode, Gumball performed “Latch” by Disclosure ft. Sam Smith and “Renegade” by Styx. Meanwhile, Goldfish sang “Heart of Glass” by Blondie and “Don’t Let the Sun Go Down on Me” by Elton John

After the audience and judges—which included Jenny McCarthy, Ken Jeong, Rita Ora and Robin Thicke—cast their votes, host Nick Cannon declared Goldfish as the winner. And the person behind the Goldfish mask was…High School Musical alum Vanessa Hudgens!

As a result, Gumball had to reveal himself. Turns out, the person was (drumroll, please) Ginny & Georgia star Scott Porter. “Who knew you could do what you do?” Cannon said, according to People. Thicke added, “This is what you get when you commit yourself to bringing joy to people the way you did, so thank you.”

After winning the competition, Hudgens sat down with Entertainment Weekly and shared that her Masked Singer debut was years in the making.

“This kind of just came around at the perfect time, and my fans had been asking, saying, ‘We want more music, we want singing anything, give it to us please,’” she revealed. “And I was like, you know, this would be a really interesting way to give my fans what they want, but make sure they're really fans. And they are!”

As for her music career? When it comes to reviving her singing career, the 35-year-old actress explained that is “not a top priority right now.” She told EW, “I always say life is about priorities and that’s just not a top priority right now. Who knows? Maybe down the line, maybe it will be, but as of now, it’s still no.”
