This Horror Flick is the #4 Movie on Netflix (Because Apparently March is the New October)

If you’re looking for something new to binge, and horror films are more your thing, then we have an option that’s right up your alley (and just so happens to be on Netflix’s list of most-popular movies).

Called The Conjuring, the film has officially landed the number seven spot on the streaming platform’s top ten list. The supernatural drama follows paranormal investigators Lorraine (Vera Farmiga) and Edward Warren (Patrick Wilson) who are tasked with helping a Rhode Island family terrorized by a sinister spirit they believe to be living in their new farmhouse. Oh, and did we mention it’s based on a true story?

Watch the official trailer below.

Warner Bros' synopsis reads: “Before there was Amityville, there was Harrisville. Based on a true story, The Conjuring tells the horrifying tale of how world-renowned paranormal investigators Ed and Lorraine Warren were called upon to help a family terrorized by a dark presence in a secluded farmhouse. Forced to confront a powerful demonic entity, the Warrens find themselves caught in the most terrifying case of their lives.”

If you didn’t know, the 2013 film is the first flick in a series of movies in The Conjuring franchise. The follow-up films, which serve as both sequels and prequels, include Annabelle (2014), The Conjuring 2 (2016), Annabelle Creation (2017), The Nun (2018), The Curse of La Llorona (2019), Annabelle Comes Home (2019) and The Conjuring: The Devil Made Me Do It (2020). And there’s more on the way.

Might we recommend sleeping with the lights on?
