Summer may already be here, but these Magnolias are just starting to bloom.
The third season of Sweet Magnolias arrives on July 20, and now, we finally have an official trailer for the hit Netflix series. Watch the highly-anticipated clip below.
The video brings back all of our favorite South Carolina gals, including Maddie (JoAnna Garcia Swisher), Helen (Heather Headley) and Dana Sue (Brooke Elliott). And as Maddie's narration hints at the beginning of the trailer, this latest season will include new relationships and new challenges for the residents of Serenity.
However, despite what comes their way, we can be sure that Maddie, Helen and Dana won't let anything break apart their friendship. “Three of us are forever,” Dana says at one point, before Maddie adds, “And a day.”
Like the first two seasons, the third will feature 10 episodes, which will drop all at once on July 20. Hopefully, we'll get a few answers to those cliffhangers from the end of season two, including (spoiler alert!) the reunion of Ronnie (Brandon Quinn) and Dana, the death of Miss Frances (Cindy Karr) and Ryan’s (Michael Shenefelt) proposal to Helen. Based on this trailer, it's pretty clear that there will be plenty of drama (and romance) in store.
While you wait, don't forget that Sweet Magnolias is based on a series of books by Sherryl Woods, which you can get here. There are a total of eleven books in the series.
As of this writing, Netflix has not confirmed whether there will be a fourth season of Sweet Magnolias, but we're keeping our fingers crossed that we don't have to say goodbye to these gems just yet.
