I already expressed my thoughts on Raw and how it dethroned The Night Agent, American Primeval and The Recruit as Netflix’s top show. Although the wrestling drama has dropped to the tenth spot, I’m still not convinced that Sweet Magnolias is getting the attention it deserves.
‘Sweet Magnolias’ Is the #3 Show on Netflix—But I’m Surprised by the #1 & #2 Picks
So many options

Once Sweet Magnolias season four hit Netflix, the show immediately climbed the streaming service’s top-rated charts. The romantic drama follows three best friends—Maddie (Joanna García Swisher), Dana Sue (Brooke Elliott) and Helen (Heather Headley)—as they tackle issues relating to parenthood, business and friendship. Although it held the number one spot for a few days, it later dropped to the third position (which is where it currently sits).
I’m not surprised that Sweet Magnolias is so popular because fans have been waiting for new episodes of the feel-good series for quite some time. However, I *am* surprised that it was dethroned by two lesser-known titles: Surviving Black Hawk Down (#1) and The Åre Murders (#2).
Surviving Black Hawk Down is an eye-opening documentary that’s told from the perspective of U.S. soldiers and Somalia citizens, who recall the 1993 Battle of Mogadishu in harrowing detail.
On the other hand, The Åre Murders is a must-watch true-crime drama that’s reminiscent of True Detective and Peaky Blinders. The Swedish series follows a Stockholm detective who goes on vacation to escape work. Everything changes when a young girl disappears, prompting the investigator to return to duty.
