Following Prince Harry and Meghan Markle's multi-million dollar deal with Netflix, they've produced eye-opening shows like Heart of Invictus and, most notably, Harry & Meghan. Now, Archewell is tapping into the exciting world of one of Harry's favorite sports.

On Twitter this week, Netflix teased a first look at Prince Harry's upcoming docuseries, Polo, which, according to Deadline, will "pull the curtain back on the grit and passion" of the equestrian sport. Mostly filmed at the U.S. Open Polo Championship in Wellington, Florida, it features an up-close look at the players in action as they compete at the highest level.

Netflix shared four images from the docuseries and wrote a brief synopsis, including the expected release date. The statement reads, "Polo is a new documentary series that follows elite global players and offers an exclusive, behind-the-scenes look at the fast-paced world of the sport. From Archewell Productions and Boardwalk Pictures. Premiering this December."

Among the images are shots of equestrians racing on horseback, and in another pic, one athlete smiles as he pats his horse in the stables.

Per Deadline, Miloš Balać serves as the showrunner for Polo. Prince Harry and Meghan Markle produced the series with Chanel Pysnik for Archewell Productions, and Andrew Fried, Sarina Roma and Dane Lillegard executive produced for Boardwalk Pictures.

It comes as no surprise that the Duke of Sussex chose to do a series on this sport. He has played polo for several years and was seen participating in multiple polo events. For example, in 2023, the prince was photographed playing polo during the Sentebale ISPS Handa Polo Cup in Singapore.

Additionally, like his late grandmother, Queen Elizabeth, he has been quite fond of horses since his younger days. In fact, he and his brother, Prince William, learned to ride on a small pony named Smokey, and it appears that Harry learned the ropes pretty quickly.

I'll keep an eye out for the show's official premiere date, but until then, I'll just enjoy a few more throwback pics of baby Harry on horseback.
