Penn Badgley Is Filming ‘You’ Season 4 in London (& Apparently Has a New Look)

Is that you, Joe Goldberg?

Netflix recently posted an update from the set of You season four on social media, and fans couldn’t help but notice the lead actor was sporting an entirely new look. On the show’s official IG account, Penn Badgley is shown sitting in a director’s chair that has his character’s first name printed on the back.

Aside from his Army green attire, the 35-year-old actor is rocking long curly hair and a beard—which heavily deviates from Joe’s usual look in the show. In the series, the former bookstore manager is best known for wearing his hair in a shorter style and sporting a clean-shaven face.

The photo caption read, “Joe’s back for a bloody good time. If his book choice tells us anything… our boy might not be in Paris anymore.” Without giving too much away, the third season ended with Joe traveling to Paris, France.

In an earlier post, it was announced that the fourth season has started production. Last month, Netflix posted a picture of a film clipboard on the official You Instagram account. “Feeling YOU-4-ic,” the caption read. “YOU Season 4 is now in production.”

The streaming service renewed You for a fourth season before the third season premiered on the platform. Alongside Badgley, Tati Gabrielle is confirmed to return for the new installment. The breakout star played Marienne Bellamy, Joe’s boss at Madre Linda’s library.

But, fans will also see new faces as well. Per Deadline, Lukas Gage is confirmed to join the fourth season as a series regular. While he’s best known for his roles in Euphoria and The White Lotus, the actor will play a wealthy ex-pat named Adam.

We can’t get enough of Joe’s new look.
