Season 7, which has a total of 16 episodes, will premiere on Friday, June 16, on Starz. 3. What Is the Plot for Outlander Season 7?

In case you need a refresher on the season six finale, Claire and Jamie face off against an angry mob before Claire is taken to Wilmington and arrested for the murder of Tom Christie's daughter. Meanwhile, Jamie nearly escapes death before getting sent back to Scotland, but it doesn't stop him from going after Claire and seeking vengeance.

The sixth season is inspired by the sixth book of the Outlander series, A Breath of Snow and Ashes. So, the seventh season will likely follow the events of book seven, An Echo in the Bone, which takes place between 1776 and 1778. Fans will finally learn who really killed Malva and if Claire escapes her trial. And if the story line closely follows the books, the Frasers will get deeply involved in the Revolutionary War.

5. Is There a Trailer?

There certainly is—and it’s filled with hints on how the season will play out. In the trailer, the American Revolution is in full swing, with Jamie taking part in the war while Claire uses her skills to heal the wounded. Meanwhile, Jamie’s son, William, is all grown up and on the battlefield. One scene shows a mysterious invader setting fire to Claire’s home after she demands them to “get the hell out of my house.” Sounds like fans will be getting plenty of drama and intense moments this season.
