I’ve already added this brand-new show to my streaming queue because 1) it’s helmed by the creator of Dead to Me, Liz Feldman, and 2) it features an all-star cast, including Lisa Kudrow, Ray Romano and Linda Cardellini.

Netflix just released a video announcing that No Good Deed will premiere on December 12. The plot is like a cross between Dead to Me and The Watcher, so it’s bound to dominate the streaming service’s top charts.

The comedy focuses on three families who are interested in purchasing the same house in Los Angeles. Although they’re determined to outbid the other buyers, they soon realize this “dream home” isn’t all it’s cracked up to be.

Feldman spoke with Netflix’s Tudum about the new show and revealed that Cardellini wanted a role that was “the complete opposite” of her Dead to Me character, Judy.

“I thought, ‘That’s really interesting. What would that look like?’” Feldman said. “I had already started dreaming up this world of Los Angeles real estate and thinking, ‘Why hasn’t there been a show about the buying and selling of one house and all of the people that revolve around that one location?’ I thought, ‘Who would that badass bitch be in this world?’” That’s how Cardellini’s character, Margo, entered the picture.
