2. The Skylark

For direct views of the Time Square ball drop without the massive crowds and questionable weather, head to The Skylark. Located on the 30th floor in Midtown West, this luxury bar offers revelers unobstructed, panoramic vistas of the Empire State Building and the Hudson River, all from the comfort of its chic interior or outdoor terrace. JIMMY atop ModernHaus SoHo’s 18th floor is best known for its legendary pool deck. But for New Year’s Eve, visitors can let loose at their Eyes Wide Shut-theme party, complete with a DJ, midnight Champagne toast and burlesque dancers. The 22nd floor rooftop bar from Chef Andrew Carmellini’s NoHo Hospitality Group features sweeping views of New York City from atop The William Vale in Williamsburg, making it an excellent spot to check out some fireworks and greet 2025 in style. To ring in the new year, Westlight will be hosting a New Year’s Eve celebration with an open bar, specialty cocktails, music by The Silver Arrow Band and a Champagne toast at midnight. POPULAR is the Peruvian-themed signature restaurant of Ian Schrager’s PUBLIC hotel led by Chef Diego Muñoz. To close out the year, he’s planned a special NYE dinner menu with two seatings. The first is at 7 p.m. for $125 per guest and features four courses—lobster tail and braised short rib and ossetra caviar, oh my!—plus dessert. The second is at 9:30 p.m. for $150 per guest and adds a fifth course, as well as a midnight Champagne toast.

For an old-school New York steakhouse experience with added elegance, you can’t go wrong with this massive Tribeca eatery. This NYE, American Cut is offering hungry diners oysters with Champagne, herb-crusted rack of lamb with pine nuts, halibut en croute, and, of course, their famous dry aged tomahawk chop, amongst other menu items. Spend New Year’s Eve at The Musket Room, the Michelin-starred, globally-inspired NoLita restaurant. Executive Chef Mary Attea's decadent NYE tasting menu from $125 is available both vegan and omnivore, so nobody has to miss any of the fun. The omnivore menu includes caviar toast and a silky foie gras with sherry, dates and almonds, while the vegan menu features faux caviar toast with avocado, and a mushroom mousse dish with chestnuts and sage. Plus, a regional wine pairing is also available from Sommelier Ramon Manglano.
